Idaho school districts soon will have to remove any requirements that teachers use transgender students’ preferred pronouns. Gov. Brad Little quietly signed House Bill 538 on Monday. The legislation, sponsored by Rep. Ted Hill, R-Eagle, broadly enacts protections for public employees, including teachers, who are unwilling to use someone’s preferred name and pronouns. It had overwhelming support among Statehouse Republicans. The bill bars teachers from referring to a student by a name or pronoun that doesn’t align with their birth sex, unless the teacher has parental consent. It also gives teachers the right to sue their district if they’re disciplined...

So, you're interested in learning all the terms and phrases someone might use to express their gender identity. Or maybe, you're exploring your own gender, and looking for the right word or words. Either way, there are a lot of terms out there, and you might have a few questions—especially if you're realizing that you don't (always) identify with the gender assigned to you at birth...... What is gender identity? In short: “Gender identity is how you feel about yourself and the ways you express your gender,” says Jackie Golob, MS, LPCC, an AASECT-certified sex therapist in Minnesota. It’s important...

A Michigan hair salon is facing a discrimination charge over a social media post earlier this year that declared transgender customers were “not welcome” and instead should “seek services at a local pet groomer.” In the charge filed on Wednesday, the state’s Department of Civil Rights claimed a July Facebook post made by Traverse City’s Studio 8 Hair Lab owner Christine Geiger violated the state’s civil rights act by unlawfully discriminating against three claimants. “If a human identifies as anything other than a man/woman please seek services at a local pet groomer. You are not welcome at this salon. Period,”...

Minnesota has been hit with a devastating bird flu outbreak as the state prepares to provide much of the nation with turkeys for Thanksgiving. On Wednesday, officials announced Minnesota’s first major outbreak of bird flu in 2023. Minnesota is America’s largest producer of turkeys. State officials said Wednesday that a flock of 140,000 turkeys was killed at a Meeker County farm. The cull was commenced to mitigate the further spread of the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), according to the Star Tribune. HPAI, or bird flu, has seen a terrifying level of spread around the globe in the last few...

An Idaho judge dismissed on Friday the state’s case against a Patriot Front member accused of conspiring to riot at an LGBT demonstration last year, finding that a prosecutor acted in “bad faith” by failing to provide the defendant with possibly exculpatory evidence. Judge Destry Randles’s order stems from the incident in June 2022, when 31 members of the right-wing nationalist group were arrested after someone reported seeing people loading into a U-Haul van like “a little army” at a hotel parking lot in Coeur d’Alene. Five of the Patriot Front defendants were convicted of misdemeanor charges of conspiracy to...

He’s my boss; her dog is cute; they have an exam today — pronouns are a part of speech we use to refer to ourselves and others. They’re an essential component of language — and, as of the last few years, among its most hotly contested, too. Some of the most common words in the English language have gender markers, including pronouns. But not all of them are binary. Consider the singular “they,” preferred by some nonbinary and trans people for whom gendered pronouns do not fit. And then there are neopronouns (“new” pronouns), gender-neutral or nonbinary pronouns that are...

Disney, our favorite left-wing corporate punching bag, is having a(nother) bad month. The company just reported fiscal fourth-quarter losses of a cool $710 million. Don’t worry, I’m sure its new woke live-action version of “Snow White” will fix things. Let’s see what the new Snow White, the outspoken Hispanic feminista Rachel Zegler has to say about the new movie that will save Disney from disaster. “It’s no longer 1937,” Zegler said. “She’s not going to be saved by the prince and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love. She’s dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can...

A Laramie church elder who lost presentation privileges at the University of Wyoming in December now is suing the university’s president and dean of student affairs, alleging they violated his free-speech, equal protection and due process rights. Todd Schmidt, an elder at Laramie Faith Community Church, set up a table at the UW Union breezeway on Dec. 2 displaying a sign that read, “God created male and female and Artemis Langford is a male.” Langford is the first transgender inductee into the Wyoming chapter of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Ryan O’Neil, University of Wyoming dean of students, reportedly asked...

On Friday, hundreds of concerned parents, children, and allies gathered in Ottawa to take part in the Education over Indoctrination protest against LGBTQ content in schools. During the protest, kids from Muslim families fed up with gender indoctrination in their classrooms stomped on Pride flags, garnering cheers from the crowd. Footage from the protest captured the moment the children, seemingly at the direction of their parents, stood atop a selection of small Pride flags scattered on the ground and began stomping. The crowd cheered them on, with some older members coming over to shake their hands and voice their approval.

The parents of transgender Nashville shooter Audrey Hale have informed a court that they wish to release the contents of Hale's manifesto to the children who attend the school that was the site of the incident. Ronald and Norma Hale claim intestate possession of their daughter's documents, according to the Tennessee Star, and have argued that they have the right to provide any party they see fit ownership of the materials. They have further indicated that they would give those materials to the children who attended the school. Intestacy laws establish an order of priority for the inheritance of a...

Bud Light suffered its fifth straight week of worsening sales drops since the Dylan Mulvaney controversy began — stoking doubts about whether the mega-brand can recover as the crucial summer beer-drinking season begins. Nationwide retail sales of Bud Light sales dropped 23.6% versus a year ago during the week ended May 6 — slightly worse than the 23.3% decline for the week ended April 29, according to data from Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ data. Sales of other Anheuser-Busch brands also continued to drop, albeit at a slower rate than the week before. Those included Budweiser, down 9.7% versus an...

A California professor has been busted for trying to arrange to rape a 7-year-old in conversations with an undercover FBI agent where he suggested luring the girl with a doll and chocolate, prosecutors said. Rodger “Rod” Githens, an associate professor at the University of the Pacific, was arrested on April 21 on charges including receipt and distribution of images of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct, a criminal complaint from the Eastern District of California confirms. The graphic complaint includes extensive details of Githens’ online conversations with an undercover FBI agent posing as a “‘taboo-friendly’” 30-year-old man who claimed...

In a demonstration of its “commitment to inclusion,” the Purdue University Student Government agreed to allocate $17,000 for a “rainbow crosswalk” during its last official meeting of the school year. According to The Exponent, the crosswalk will span the intersection of Mitch Daniels Boulevard (formerly West State Street) and Grant Street (pictured). Resolution author Lillian Ferguson said the high cost of the project is due to its “more resilient” thermoplastic design in lieu of mere paint. She noted such materials would give the crosswalk a decade of life before it would need repairs or replacement.

There’s a big problem going on over at Fox News, and it’s been happening for a while now, ever since Roger Ailes left the picture. As we all know, Fox News has been a major media force for many years, with a reputation for providing a conservative spin on current events. But all of that’s changing. Over the past several years, Fox News has started to make a slow left turn. And while some may not like hearing this, there is actual evidence to suggest that Fox News has changed how it reports the news. Just watch a few shows,...

For decades, progressives have been aggressively informing us that they are devout fans of “diversity” and “multiculturalism.” These words have taken on an almost totemic significance, with “diversity is our strength” becoming a mantra for Canadian lefties. I have my quibbles with these buzz-words—diversity is a description, not a value—but I have often found myself wishing, over the past few years, that those who brandish these terms actually believed in them. What we have found as the LGBT movement achieved cultural dominance is that for progressives, “diversity” is where people look different, but think the same. Thus, Western nations (primarily...

Transgenderism is being portrayed as a progressive form of self-expression by the political, media, and business complex, but it is also damaging and marring—in many cases irreparably—the girls who come into contact with it. This series is exploring some of the cruelty experienced by people who have interacted with the “cyber-sect” of radical gender ideology, through testimony in their own words. _____ About 20 percent of Generation Z is likely to identify on the “LGBTQQIP2SAA” spectrum, and “LGBTQIA+” identification overall has become much more common in the United States in the past decade, according to 2022 polling by Gallup. Over...

A middle school (6-8 grade) in Washington State has a gay and lesbian club as one of their after-school clubs. Some of these students are 11 years old, barely beginning to enter puberty!! This club is listed on their official school website. It is a school sponsored activity with a teacher advisor! We, the tax payers are paying for this! They are using school equipment to chat on-line. Would they allow a Bible study club, or an Eagle Scout club, or maybe a young republican club? This is outrageous!!!

The transgender woman who filed gender-identity discrimination complaints against mostly poor, immigrant women for refusing to bikini wax biological male genitalia is seeking permission to hold three “topless” swims for people ages 12 and up, and parents would be barred from attending. Jessica Yaniv is scheduled to appear before the Township of Langley Council in British Columbia, Canada, July 22 at 7:00 pm to ask for permission for an “All-Bodies Swims” at three community pools where individuals, including girls as young as 12, will be permitted to be topless.
