I am warming up to watch the documentary Rather, celebrating the career of the disgraced former CBS News anchor. It is to be aired this coming Wednesday on Netflix. Apparently having access to a screener for media critics, the Star Tribune’s Neal Justin found the documentary to be wanting (“when it comes to the stumbles, like walking off the set when a tennis match went long, the legendary broadcaster goes missing”). Speaking of “stumbles,” we have the matter of Rathergate. However, “stumble” doesn’t quite capture it. “Disgrace,” “disaster,” and “fraud” are more like it. Award-winning CBS News producer Mary Mapes...

A new imaging method has uncovered modern alterations on Iron Age Iranian bronze swords, showing they were tampered with to boost their value in the illicit antiquities market. This discovery, using neutron tomography, highlights the challenge of detecting forgeries in ancient metalworking artifacts, essential for understanding early metallurgical innovation. Credit: Cranfield University Modern tampering on Iron Age Iranian swords was revealed using neutron tomography, complicating efforts to study ancient metalworking techniques. For the first time, an imaging technique has been applied to study Iron Age bronze swords from Iran, uncovering significant modern modifications that prove the weapons that the weapons...

Dear Editor; Describing the state’s audit of Proposition 47 as “nuanced” and “flawed” is too polite and diplomatic. This audit focuses only on Riverside and San Bernardino counties, jurisdictions with law and order district attorneys and sheriffs who do not coddle criminals, unlike the too many George Soros funded D.A.s polluting so much of California. This I.E. audit implies that Prop 47 is better than it really is, where we have capable and proactive local law enforcement in these counties. Yet the proposition is still an abject failure. The proof lies in simply walking the aisles of your nearby WalMart...

An important anniversary [is today]. This anniversary carries implications for how we receive news, how political campaigns are conducted, and the credibility of almost everything we see or hear from the media. On September 8, 2004, CBS’s “60 Minutes” used forged government documents as the basis for a story that attacked the military record of then-President George W. Bush. It was bad enough that CBS used forged government documents, but what made it worse was that CBS aired this story during the presidential election and timed the airing to coincide with the rollout of Democrat John Kerry’s “favorite son” campaign theme....

Dr Valentina Rossi of University College Cork, Ireland, who led the research team which discovered that a 280-million-year-old lizard fossil is, in part, a forgery. (Image credit: Zixiao Yang) A 280-million-year-old fossil that has baffled researchers for decades has been shown to be, in part, a forgery following new examination of the remnants. The discovery has led the team led by Dr Valentina Rossi of University College Cork, Ireland (UCC) to urge caution in how the fossil is used in future research. Tridentinosaurus antiquus was discovered in the Italian alps in 1931 and was thought to be an important specimen...

The Arizona Free Enterprise Club (AFEC) has filed a lawsuit challenging the state's use of drop boxes that are not monitored by election workers. AFEC President Scott Mussi argued that "Arizona law requires that ballot boxes be located in secure places to ensure that ballot box stuffing doesn't distort the one-person-one-vote standard. So-called 'drop boxes' for ballots that are placed on the sidewalk invite ballot box stuffing." Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes pointed out that "the current Election Procedures Manual (EPM), created in 2019 by the former secretary of state and now-Gov. Katie Hobbs, specifically amended state law to...

A copy of a Resolution to remove Kevin McCarthy from his Speakership authored by Matt Gaetz back in September was reportedly found by a left-wing journalist in a restroom inside the Capitol. The Gateway Pundit reported that Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) slammed House Speaker Kevin McCarthy this morning for his “eight months of inaction” on Joe Biden and the Biden Crime Family. Gaetz further called on McCarthy to sign a subpoena for Hunter Biden’s records and testimony that he took the initiative to draft. This comes exactly one week after Gaetz threatened to remove Speaker McCarthy for being out of...

Georgia state prosecutors appear to have brought charges including conspiracy to commit forgery against Donald Trump, Reuters reports. Pennsylvania governor-elect Josh Shapiro, who rose to prominence by downplaying Republican claims of voter fraud, charged one of his former campaign consultants on Wednesday with "wide scale" forgery of voter ballots. Shapiro, in his capacity as Pennsylvania attorney general, alleges that Philadelphia political consultant Rasheen Crews duplicated more than 1,000 signatures on petitions to add his clients to Democratic primary ballots for Philadelphia city elections in 2019. "By soliciting and organizing the wide scale forgery of signatures, the defendant undermined the democratic process and Philadelphians’ right to a free and fair election," Shapiro said in a statement announcing the charges....

A bogus motion claiming to be from the U.S. Treasury appeared in the court docket for the Justice Department’s investigation of records seized from Mar-a-Lago. The motion was riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. The bogus document claimed the Treasury had sensitive documents related to the FBI’s raid on Trump’s Florida home and told CNN to keep “leaked tax records.” The bogus document claimed the Treasury had sensitive documents related to the FBI’s raid on Trump’s Florida home and told CNN to keep “leaked tax records.”“The U.S. Department of Treasury through the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Marshals...

The university announced on Tuesday that the so-called “Galileo manuscript” – a one-page document that includes a letter accompanying the astronomer’s presentation of his telescope and his supposed notes observing Jupiter’s moons through his telescope in 1610 – was crafted by Tobia Nicotra, a well-known forger from Italy who was fined and sentenced to two years in jail for crafting fake Galileo documents in 1934. He also infamously produced fake autographs of Christopher Columbus and Mozart. The possibility came to light in May when the Georgia State University professor Nick Wilding expressed “serious doubts about its authenticity”. Wilding found while...

I’ve been documenting a less high-tech threat emerging in recent months: a surge in stolen checks. Criminals are targeting U.S. Postal Service and personal mailboxes to pilfer filled-out checks and sell them over the internet. The buyers alter the payee and amount listed on the checks to rob victims’ bank accounts of thousands of dollars. While banks typically bear the financial burden and reimburse targeted accounts, criminals can use the checks to steal victims’ identities, which can have severe consequences. For the past two years, we’ve been surveilling 60 black market channels on the internet to learn more about the...

The internet personality said in a YouTube video Thursday that he spent $3.5 million on an unopened set of first edition Pokémon cards that turned out to be G.I. Joe cards. In the video, Paul and his friend Bolillo Lajan San, a known card collector, met with the Baseball Card Exchange in Chicago to discover if the cards were the real deal. “We all got duped,” one of the card authenticators said after analyzing the boxes. The outside of the boxes had Pokémon branding, but the inside were green G.I. Joe cards.

Another day, another Deep State participant outed. ICIG Michael Atkinson altered the whistleblower form to allow for second-hand information, which allowed suspected Schiff whistleblower Eric Ciaramella to present a bogus accusation on the President. Atkinson also oversaw the FBI lovers who altered the FISA warrant. This will soon be reported in the DOJ IG’s FISA Abuse report. Today we point out that Atkinson’s wife is connected to Fusion GPS. What a mess! Last weekend we learned from another leak to the Washington Post, that an individual in Obama’s FBI altered documents that provided support for a FISA Warrant obtained to...

Typically, a case like Kevin Clinesmith's would end in disbarment, but not this time. Kevin Clinesmith, the former senior FBI lawyer who was placed on probation as a convicted felon for falsifying a surveillance document during the Trump-Russia investigation, has been returned to "good standing" as a member of the D.C. Bar Association. In August of 2020, Clinesmith pleaded guilty to doctoring an email that was then used to justify a surveillance warrant that targeted former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. As a result, Clinesmith was sentenced in January to 12 months probation, though the D.C. bar did not seek...

The House Jan. 6 panel on Wednesday acknowledged altering a text Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, had forwarded to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, according to The Federalist. The text, originally sent by attorney Joseph Schmitz to Jordan, included a three-paragraph legal summary of a four-page legal memo that Schmitz had written regarding congressional certification of the 2020 presidential electoral vote count, which Jordan subsequently forwarded to Meadows. On Wednesday, the Jan. 6 committee acknowledged that it had altered a text Jordan had forwarded to Meadows. The Federalist reported that the text was edited by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif.,...

Oops, he did it again. After leaking fake Donald Trump, Jr. emails, fabricating the transcript of a 2019 phone call between former President Donald Trump and Ukraine’s president, and lying about his interactions with the so-called whistleblower behind House Democrats’ first impeachment of Trump, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., is now running the same con against a fellow lawmaker. During a hearing Monday night on the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, Adam Schiff claimed to have proof that a member of Congress texted former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to instruct former Vice President Mike...

A Democratic candidate for Middletown Township Committee initially denied a history of theft and forgery charges, telling party leaders a month ago that he wasn’t the same Nicholas Babcock involved in a series of crimes. Now, one week before Election Day, Babcock has acknowledged that he did plead guilty to bouncing checks in Arizona 20 years ago and was sentenced to two years of probation. The admission comes after weeks of denials and doesn’t include information regarding additional allegations made against him by law enforcement. A records check shows that Babcock had faced theft charges in Arizona in 2002, 2004,...
