President Joe Biden's administration is receiving backlash online over its Pride Month display at the White House on Sunday as many Twitter users are saying it violates the U.S. Flag Code. Biden celebrated the LGBT community in a post Saturday, revealing a set of flags hanging from the White House that faced the South Lawn. The display includes a rainbow-colored Pride flag flanked by two American flags. Twitter users argue the display violates a section of the U.S. Flag Code that mandates the American flag be in the center of any display featuring multiple national flags or pennants.

Wayne Pettigrew wants the public to know that he’s after historical accuracy, not bringing up specters of a painful part of American history in his effort to have the Cherokee Brave Confederate flag flown at the state Capitol plaza.However, one African-American lawmaker and a spokesman for the Cherokee Nation both question Pettigrew’s motives and historical accuracy. (AP) - The neighbors of gunman Hesham Mohamed Hadayet knew him as a quiet man with a friendly young son, but also as someone offended by a large patriotic American display.</p> <p>Hadayet, 41, who also went by the last name Ali, was shot dead by an airline security guard at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday after he opened fire at an El Al airline ticket counter, killing two people and injuring four.</p>
