A year-long legal battle over the Democratic National Committee’s handling of the 2016 presidential primary came to an end Friday, with a federal judge in Florida dismissing a class-action suit brought by supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

“To the extent Plaintiffs wish to air their general grievances with the DNC or its candidate selection process, their redress is through the ballot box, the DNC’s internal workings, or their right of free speech — not through the judiciary,” Judge William Zloch, a Reagan appointee, wrote in his dismissal. “To the extent Plaintiffs have asserted specific causes of action grounded in specific factual allegations, it is this Court’s emphatic duty to measure Plaintiffs’ pleadings against existing legal standards. Having done so . . . the Court finds that the named Plaintiffs have not presented a case that is cognizable in federal court.”

ORLANDO – It has been 39 days since Donald Trump has had to worry about Hillary Clinton, but his supporters can’t seem to stop talking about her. Even before Trump took the stage at a boisterous Friday evening rally here, the president-elect’s introductory speakers referenced his former Democratic opponent – and the crowd of thousands, perfectly on cue, chanted, “Lock her up!” One man screamed loudly, “Waterboard her!” When Trump delivered his speech in Orlando, his latest stop on a national “thank you” tour, his throngs of fans repeated their chants: “Lock her up! Lock her up! Lock her up!”...

Three voters in Florida filed a lawsuit in state court seeking a recount of the votes in November’s presidential election. The voters claim that Hillary Clinton really won Florida, but problems including hacking, faulty voting machines, and voters being turned away from the polls led to a Trump victory. They sued Governor Rick Scott, Donald Trump, State Attorney General Pamela Bondi, and 29 Republican presidential electors in the state. The lawsuit, filed by law firm Clint Curtis & Associates, demands a hand recount of every paper ballot in the state. In a press release, the firm said that in addition...

They are coming out of the woodwork. This along with the recounts in other states and the Texas elector... ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) – Florida has joined the list of states where voters have contested the results of the presidential election and requested a hand recount of paper ballots. A lawsuit has been filed by attorneys from Clint Curtis & Associates in the 2nd Circuit Court in Leon County. The complaint asserts that if the presidential votes had been counted properly, Hillary Clinton would have won in Florida and received the states’ 29 electoral votes. The lawsuit calls into question the...

The streets of Little Havana in Miami are still filled with celebration over the death of the murderous communist dictator Fidel Castro. As quoted during one Fox News segment a Cuban-American shares: …I’m happy Fidel Castro is dead and Donald Trump is my President”

ORLANDO — Along the Interstate 4 corridor in the heart of Florida, the biggest swing region in the nation's biggest swing state, Donald Trump had a lot of backers. Many of them kept their enthusiasm to themselves. "I was guarded," Carol Foushi, a retired nurse, told a McClatchy reporter at the Millenia Mall in Orlando, a few miles from her home near Disney World. "People were passionate. They wanted Hillary; they wanted the first woman president. It was more for historic than for personal reasons." Her husband, John Foushi, used gallows humor in explaining his vote for the New York...

Cuban exiles pour onto Miami streets to celebrate Fidel Castro’s death ... Cubans with flags of Cuba and the US together with hundreds... spilling into the streets of Miami.....at the news of the death of the leader and the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro 90 years old, who died Nov. 25, 2016. Fidel Castro died, and Cuban Miami did what it does in times of community celebration: It poured onto the streets of Little Havana — and Hialeah, and Kendall — to honk horns, bang pans, and set off more than a few fireworks, saved for exactly the sort of unexpected...

Donald Trump's motorcade was cheered on by supporters Tuesday night as it carried the President-elect and his family to his Mar-a-Lago estate for their annual Thanksgiving celebration there. He had been seen around 7pm touching down in Palm Beach International Airport, where Melania and youngest son Barron were also spotted stepping down onto the tarmac. RNC chairman Reince Priebus is also making his way to the feast, according to Trump's press pool. Southern Boulevard was shut down, along with the I-95 and a number of other intersecting roads, while the motorcade made its way to Trump's estate, according to Palm...

While “White” American voters supported Trump at a rate of 56%, Cuban American voters went for the Republican candidate at a rate of 58%--or perhaps even higher. Gosh? What could possibly account for this phenomenon?Well, if the quip “you had to be there” applies anywhere, it’s in explaining the voting habits of Americans of Cuban heritage. By “there” I mean in a communist country—but not as a tourist! Not like the tens of thousands of (mostly pinko) Americans who’ve been visiting Cuba and filling the coffers of Cuba’s terror-sponsoring Stalinist rulers the past few years, thanks to Obama. No, instead...

A heated confrontation between a South Florida Starbucks customer and several employees is drawing national attention – and showing the continuing tension across the country since the election of Donald Trump. The viral video taken from the coffee shop across from the University of Miami campus on U.S. 1 in Coral Gables shows David Sanguesa arguing with a barista behind the counter, calling her "trash" and saying "Trump, Trump. You lost" while demanding his money back before again calling her "garbage" and "plain trash."

(Snip) The Latino vote in Florida upended the Clinton campaign’s strategy, and what we thought we knew about where politics is headed. Chalk it up to a kind of cynical Latina wariness, but I never felt convinced that Hillary Clinton would win the general election. Yet as reports poured in about the historic number of Latinos lining up to vote early in Miami, I felt 100 percent certain that the state would remain blue. After all, Cuban-American members of Congress like Carlos Curbelo and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen had refused to endorse Trump. In October, following the “Access Hollywood” scandal, Ros-Lehtinen called...

Cuban-American leaders and human rights activists within the island nation are hoping that the incoming Trump administration will scale back President Obama’s efforts to restore relations between the two countries, measures they say emboldened the communist regime and brought the U.S. little in return. Sen. Marco Rubio, a Florida Republican who sits on the Foreign Relations Committee, said that a top priority for him next year will be to roll back sweeping changes President Obama implemented that significantly eased trade and travel restrictions. Rubio, like many Cuban-Americans who have opposed the normalization of relations, said Obama’s overtures to the Cuban...

Republicans had excellent results in Tuesday’s high-stakes Senate races, winning numerous tough battles to preserve their majority in the chamber for the next two years. But Tuesday’s results revealed an interesting dynamic: The Republican Senate candidates who rejected President-elect Donald Trump and tried to go it alone were the only ones who ended up losing their races. Overall, there were eight Republican-held seats and one Democrat-held seat that were competitive going into Tuesday night: Illinois, Wisconsin, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Florida, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Missouri. Of the nine Republicans in these competitive races, six of them stood by Trump...
