Here's mine: Wouldn't it be nice if all these jerks would stop posting rediculous questions that just waste a lot of bandwidth?! And while we're at it, why don't we quit it with the overuse of CAPITALIZATION and other stupid formatting that drives us all crazy?!?! And finally, how about goin' a little easier on the Clintons from now on? Bill and Hillary deserve our respect even if we disagree with their politics, don't they?! (/SARCASM}

Im probably the 10000000000000th person to ask this, but.. Has the admin ever thought about adding the ability for people to edit there own posts? I have run in to many occasions when I needed to edit a post. Also, have they thought about adding a ezboard type message board section to freerepublic? Or is this all about 1996 old school internet? If it is, its cool.. I would personally love to log into a freerepublic BBS at 300 baud if I could… I guess you shouldn’t fix whats not broken but I really think someone should add an edit...

I've been bugged for months at the limit of 20 when I look up who has pinged me or responded to my posts. It used to be 250 was the limit but now it's 20 which is absurd. 100 should be the minimum. The election is over with it's heavy traffic. Why is the limit 20? Is the server overburdened if this is raised. Thanks

There is a feature with your "mail" where you can delete your mail after you have read it. Is there a similar feature with "pings" where you can delete pings after you've read them? Thanks.

For some reason the Free Republic opinion poll refuses to go down beneath my sidebar after I've voted. This started with the last poll on my mac at home. I just thought it was a screwy mac thing but now with the new poll the mac behaves ok but my computer at work (PC) now keeps the poll on top of my sidebars. The last time I voted at work I believe. This time I voted at home so maybe that has something to do with it. Anyone else having problems with this or know how to get the page...

The purpose of FreeRepublic.com's multiple message boards is to limit the topics for each board to particular topics. Posting the same message on all the boards defeats the purpose of multiple-boards for special topics. It is very annoying to see the same message on every bulletin board. PLEASE! When I do a search, the only returns I can get are from the previous couple of days. If it is older than that, I simply cannot search them. Is there a problem? Am I doing something wrong?

Hey fellow Free Republic-ans, I'm still new here, been around about 3 weeks now. I've been learning the ropes, with "ping" and "bump" and so forth. I'm an Net vet, but always been more of the news scouring type than the 'net community/message board type. Some of ya'll have been helping me along the way, but I had some general questions. Someone sent me a link to the lexicon a while back when I asked about pinging, but I didn't bookmark it and I can't find it from surfing. If it's privileged to Vets or something, then I'll wait patiently...

Apologies up from for posting a question whose answer I thought would be easy to find, but I haven't any luck. How do I add a signature line that will appear by my user ID when I post a comment? I think I'm missing something obvious.
