To show how things ha e changed. I remember an episode of MASH where Klinger was trying to use his gender issues to get out of the army. He was talking to the psych guy and was told the army could release you, but it would be common knowledge why you were given your release. How would that play with the guys back in Toledo. Klinger changed his mind. Not sure that story line would work today.
