In the 2020 presidential election, Millennials, those born between 1981-1996, and Gen Z, those born between 1997-2012, made up a larger share of the electorate than Baby Boomers by a sizable margin: 38 percent compared to 28 percent. By the 2024 election, Millennials and Gen Z will likely outnumber Boomers among voters.
