Police divers are hunting a snapping turtle that bit a 15-year-old boy on the penis in an alpine lake. They believe the turtle had probably been dumped in the lake at Grossweil in Bavaria by its owner after it got too big for its tank. They say the animals, that are natives to North America and are illegal to own in Germany, usually avoid human contact unless cornered.
