CBS News pushed back against former President Trump’s claim that “60 Minutes” deceitfully edited its interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, dismissing the allegation as “false” in a statement released Sunday. After weeks of staying mum despite mounting backlash over the interview, CBS published a statement Sunday evening addressing the outrage that ensued after airing two different answers to the same question in the “60 Minutes” interview earlier this month with the Democratic nominee. “Former President Donald Trump is accusing 60 Minutes of deceitful editing of our Oct. 7 interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. That is false,” the statement...

Former CBS News staffers are demanding an independent investigation into “60 Minutes” over the brewing Kamala Harris interview scandal — even as the network digs in its heels and refuses to release the full, unedited transcript, ... The long-running news show has come under fire after cleaning up the Democratic presidential candidate’s answer to a question from “60 Minutes” correspondent Bill Whitaker about Israel that aired during a special episode on Monday. Her reply was starkly different from the “word salad” the vice president served up in a clip to promote the interview shown by “Face the Nation” the day...

CBS aired two different answers to the same question in its "60 Minutes" interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, replacing a clip from the Democratic nominee that aired on "Face the Nation" Sunday when the interview package aired in a primetime special on Monday. Harris was mocked by conservatives when footage of her offering a lengthy "word salad" that was aired by CBS on Sunday’s "Face the Nation" to promote the "60 Minutes" sit-down, when Bill Whitaker asked why it seemed like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wasn’t listening to the United States. However, the vice president’s lengthy answer didn’t...

Vice President Kamala Harris recently sat down for her first solo interview since securing the Democratic nomination, but the outcome did not go as smoothly as some may have hoped. The interview, conducted by ABC News reporter Brian Taff and aired on ABC 6, raised concerns about the network’s editorial decisions, particularly in how Harris’ responses were presented to viewers. During the short interview, Harris was asked to provide specific actions she would take to lower costs for Americans, a pressing issue as inflation continues to impact households across the country. However, instead of offering a clear, concise response, Harris...

The current debate in American politics is a sad one. It’s called “Your candidate is more senile than mine.” However, much as leftists (plus Nikki Haley) try to say that Donald Trump shows the same cognitive decline as Joe Biden, anyone can see that this isn’t true. Trump is the same as he ever was; Joe Biden is being held together by duct tape (or, in his case, carefully edited videotape). When it comes to Donald Trump, what you see is what you get…and what you’ve always gotten. He is the modern equivalent of Oliver Cromwell’s instruction to Sir Peter...

Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MI) has denied ever deceptively editing video while serving as chairman for the January 6 Select Committee. Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Monday released new, unseen footage from the Capitol Hill riot that unfolded on January 6, 2021, which appeared to portray a different picture than the one that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) painted. Throughout his segment, footage showed scenes that ran contrary to some of the narratives put forth by the January 6 committee by claiming rioters had participated in an “insurrection.”

ntil recently, CRISPR—the gene-editing technology that won scientists Jennifer Doudna and Emmanuelle Charpentier the 2020 Nobel Prize in chemistry—sounded more like science fiction than medicine; lab-created molecular scissors are used to snip out problematic DNA sections in a patient’s cells to cure them of disease. But soon we could see regulators approve the very first treatment using this gene-editing technology in an effort to combat rare inherited blood disorders that affect millions across the globe. In a $900 million collaboration, rare disease specialist Vertex and CRISPR Therapeutics developed the therapy, dubbed exa-cel (short for exagamglogene autotemcel). It has already amassed...

Many website forums have a feature allowing the poster to edit his/her post after having hit "send". Some only allow edits within "x" minutes of posting, others have no limit. I wonder if FR could have such a feature. I,like some here,am a two fingered typist who makes more than his share of errors (thanks to my old brain cells dying off)...and they're usually discovered not long after having hit "send". If it's not difficult...or expensive...to set up I hope FR will do it.

Critics bashed "NBC Nightly News" Wednesday after the Peacock Network's flagship evening news program omitted key details from a report on the police-involved shooting of Ma'Khia Bryant in Columbus, Ohio. Media Research Center news analyst Nicholas Fondacaro called out NBC News for editing out a portion of a frantic 911 call in which a woman is heard saying: "It's these grown girls over here trying to fight us, trying to stab us, get here now!" NBC did air a brief audio clip from the call in which the woman shouts, "We need a police officer here now!" Fondacaro also drew...

They cannot be this stupid, right? After CBS News was caught editing the bodycam footage of the police shooting of Adam Toledo in Chicago, which has also sparked outrage, NBC News decides to edit the 911 call concerning the officer-involved shooting in Ohio, where a 16-year-old was shot and killed after she tried to stab another person (via Columbus Dispatch):In an unprecedented move, Columbus police showed body camera footage of the shooting of a 16-year-old girl by a Columbus police officer just hours after the incident on the Southeast Side. The shooting, which happened about 20 minutes before a guilty verdict...

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to threaten public health, scientists throughout the world have been working around the clock to develop effective treatments against COVID-19. CRISPR gene editing is one of the techniques researchers are using. During the Virtual Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), Tina Hesman Saey, Senior Writer and molecular biology reporter at Science News, spoke with Feng Zhang (ISEF 1998-1999, STS 2000), one of the pioneers of CRISPR technology, about CRISPR’s role in fighting COVID-19. Feng shared three main ways CRISPR is being used to fight COVID-19: As a diagnostic, CRISPR-based tests have been developed to...

The Michael Flynn case will soon be over. It began on Jan. 24, 2017, just four days into the Trump administration, when two FBI agents went to the White House to interview Flynn, then the brand-new national security adviser. Ignoring protocol, they questioned him about a phone call he had a few weeks before, during the transition, with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. By the end of the year, Flynn had pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI in that interview. Now, the Justice Department has moved to drop the charges, and a judge will soon accept that decision. But before...

Another day, another Deep State participant outed. ICIG Michael Atkinson altered the whistleblower form to allow for second-hand information, which allowed suspected Schiff whistleblower Eric Ciaramella to present a bogus accusation on the President. Atkinson also oversaw the FBI lovers who altered the FISA warrant. This will soon be reported in the DOJ IG’s FISA Abuse report. Today we point out that Atkinson’s wife is connected to Fusion GPS. What a mess! Last weekend we learned from another leak to the Washington Post, that an individual in Obama’s FBI altered documents that provided support for a FISA Warrant obtained to...

A family of street performers could walk on coals. Here’s how the secret of why they felt no pain could benefit others. The street performer was only 10 years old. He put knives through his arms and walked on hot embers. By 14 he was dead. Someone dared him to jump from a roof. He did it, knowing it wouldn’t hurt. The case of the Pakistani boy with a rare genetic disorder was described in 2006. He could feel warmth and cold and the texture of objects. But he never felt pain. Now scientists have paired the discovery with the...

A Q13 editor was fired Thursday, after it was revealed that they had doctored a clip of President Trump’s Tuesday Oval Office address. A listener to my program sent me a video that appears to show a deceptively edited video of President Trump’s speech from the Oval Office. We performed a side-by-side comparison of the video from our listener, apparently taken by a smart phone recording of Q13, to the raw video of Trump’s speech from CNN. That comparison revealed the Q13 video creating a loop of the President licking his lips — making it seem bizarre and unbalanced —...
