Crocodile Dundee star Paul Hogan has been spotted out and about for the first time in over a year as he ran errands in his crime and homeless-ridden Los Angeles neighborhood. The reclusive Australian-born actor wearing jeans and a denim shirt looked gaunt as he pumped gas and washed his windows last month in his Venice neighborhood that has been overrun by vagrants. The last time Hogan, 82, was photographed in public was last May when he was thought to be pinning up an angry note to vagrants camped outside his $3.5million Venice mansion. Hogan denied writing the sign that...

Perched on a pontoon above the chilly water of Dundee's Victoria Dock, surveyors are inspecting every section of one of the world's oldest ships. HMS Unicorn has been a feature of the city since 1873, half a century after she was built at Chatham Dockyard in Kent. The former training ship has weathered many storms, including almost being scrapped in the 1960s.

DUNDEE, MI (WTOL) - A new Army National Guard Super Armory is coming to our area, just across the border in Dundee, Michigan. The armory will be built across the highway from Cabela's and city, county and state leaders hope the project will have a similar impact on the community as the outdoor super store. The armory will sit on 44 acres of land. "This is the biggest announcement for Dundee since Cabela's,” said Republican State Senator Dale Zorn of Lenawee County. “I think Dundee is a great strategic location not only for Michigan but for our entire national security."...

"Crocodile Dundee" star Paul Hogan has taken legal action in a US court to recover $34 million held in a Swiss bank account which he alleges has been misappropriated, reports said Monday. The Australian, who was catapulted to stardom by the success of the 1986 film about the laconic, knife-wielding crocodile hunter, says his once-trusted tax advisor has disappeared with the cash. The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Californian district court documents allege Philip Egglishaw "absconded with or spent all" of Hogan's millions, in a filing by the actor's representative, Schuyler "Sky" Moore. The money was held at the Corner...

A SCOTTISH Muslim convert, dubbed the "Tartan Taleban", has re-emerged in Pakistan where he has reportedly been arrested as a terror suspect. Pakistan television paraded images of a man said to be James Alexander McLintock, who had been detained in the north-west city of Peshawar in late February. The 44-year-old father of four, originally from Dundee, converted to Islam in his 20s but came to international attention in December 2001 when he was arrested in Afghanistan on suspicion of being a foreign fighter. Mr McLintock was released five weeks later after strenuous denials of links to terror organisations and sent...

Students from St. Louis de Montfort Acadmeny pose for a picture in front of Dunnottar Castle, on the east coast of Scotland. Around Scotland for Our Ladyby Paul FolleyUntil recently, it would have been rash to travel around staunchly Presbyterian Scotland handing out fliers about Our Lady. However, times have changed and what the eight of us, consisting of myself and seven American high school students from the TFP-staffed Saint Louis de Montfort Academy in Pennsylvania, proposed to do for three weeks in June 2005 was precisely that. We would start in Glasgow and work east to Edinburgh, and...

Riesling was planted in Oregon vineyards as our industry developed at the end of the sixties. It was an easy grape to grow here, but the wines produced pleased the unsophisticated consumer and turned more worldly types away with their tendency to sweetness without the benefit of the acidity transmitted by rocky slopes as in Germany.A majority of Oregon winemakers soon abandoned riesling production and moved to Chardonnay plantings. However, the Oregon industry has now realized that northern Oregon growing conditions are ideal for the white "cousins" of our popular Pinot Noir...Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. These varietals as produced...
