I was an ’80s baby, so this was well before my time. But apparently in the wacky culinary headspace of the 1960s, people used to drink one very particular soda, warmed but not boiled, for good cheer and good tidings. That soda was Dr. Pepper. To be honest, out of all the sodas I could see being warmed up, it’d certainly be The Good Doctor. There’s the cherry and prune overtones, a little caffeine, syrupy sweetness—what’s not to like? Matador Network has the story of the sweet hot times, from way back when. I was made aware of it by...

Sen. John Kennedy has slammed Dr. Fauci for claiming COVID-19 jumped from an animal to humans, and charged that the top doctor needs to address evidence supporting the theory the virus leaked from Wuhan Institute of Virology. The Louisiana senator spoke in an interview with Sean Hannity on hours after Fauci appeared on MSNBC to insist that he had always been open to the lab leak theory. Kennedy said: 'Every time I am asked about Dr. Fauci, I say the same thing. I know Dr. Fauci. I like Dr. Fauci. I respect Dr. Fauci. But Dr. Fauci needs to cut...

Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) warned White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci to “cut the crap” Wednesday night after Fauci described criticism of him as “attacks on science.” “I know Dr. Fauci, I like Dr. Fauci, I respect Dr. Fauci,” Kennedy told Fox News’ “Hannity”. “But Dr. Fauci needs to cut the crap. This isn’t about Dr. Fauci. It’s not about his feelings, and I’m sorry if his feelings were hurt. You know, maybe he ought to buy an emotional support pony. “But we’re not debating dance moves on TikTok here,” the colorful senator continued. “We’re talking about millions...

There is no “glossing over” how the German conglomerate that now owns iconic American glazed Krispy Kreme donuts once made its dough — on the blood and forced labor orchestrated by the Nazi party, it conceded on Monday following a popular German tabloid’s published account. The Bild am Sonntag newspaper report of the Nazi ties to the Reimann family and its JAB Holding Co. was confirmed by spokesman and company executive Peter Harf, and reported in English on the Deutsche Welle media site. Krispy Kreme Donuts Inc. was sold to a unit of JAB Holding for about $1.35 billion in...

Well, I’d rather have a Dr. Pepper.” Sullivan fell in love with the soft drink’s trademark “23 flavors” when she was in her 60’s. “I started drinking them about 40 years ago. Three a day. Every doctor that sees me says...

DUBLIN, Texas — Dublin Dr Pepper is no more. The Dublin Dr Pepper Bottling Company has sold its rights to produce the iconic beverage in a settlement over a long-running feud. The plant opened more than a century ago, filling containers with Dr Pepper made with pure cane sugar. But the oldest Dr Pepper bottler in the world has now produced its final "pick me up." The development is cutting deep, stripping the very identity of this small Erath County town 75 miles southwest of Fort Worth. It is the conclusion of a lawsuit pitting Plano-based Dr Pepper Snapple Group...

To prove Vice President Dick Cheney's hunting accident is a full-fledged scandal, just how far are desperate liberal media types willing to go? Proving nothing is off the table, Lawrence O'Donnell of MSNBC and McLaughlin Group fame wants the public to believe Cheney had been drinking! Beyond Dr. Pepper, is there an eyewitness report of anything consumed in liquid form? No. Is there any other way to substantiate this allegation? Nope. Evidence, who needs evidence? On the left, it's conspiracy-huntin' season. Without hesitation, one could easily expect the left to go ballistic were conservatives to make similar baseless charges against...

Need more proof appeasement doesn't work? As Clear Channel's learning the hard way, placing low-rated Air America programming on several dozen AM stations nationwide, has failed to placate left-wing activists. They've long accused the company of being the "Wal-Mart" of radio, with a right-wing programming bent, to boot. Until the company removes conservative programming from KNEW-AM, the Bay Area's Youth Media Council says it won't ease up. According to indybay.org, FCC broadcast license challenges are being filed against all of their area stations, except KQKE-AM, the Air America outlet. That includes several FM stations playing only music.

Did anyone catch the Dr. Pepper ads shown during the playoffs yesterday? The first ad features the song "Stacy's mom" (...has got it going on), which, if you have heard it, is sung by a hormone-driven teen who flirts back and forth with his girlfriend's mom. The Dr. Pepper ad shows a group of boys about 10-12 years old playing in a park when a mini-van drives up. Very close shots of the driver as she gets out of the van, a sneaker, keys jingling, a "tease" as the wind blows her blouse a few inches above her belt. Subtle,...
