Company's Outstanding Performance Recognized by Beverage Marketing Corporation and Beverage World Magazine

PLANO, Texas, May 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc. (NYSE: DPS) has received the 2010 Company of the Year award at The Beverage Forum. The honor is awarded by the Beverage Marketing Corporation and Beverage World magazine and recognizes the company's outstanding performance, flavor leadership and innovation. DPS was honored at the annual beverage industry conference in the large company category.

"We are proud of our achievements and deeply honored to accept this award," said Larry D. Young, president and chief executive officer of DPS. "As we continue our focus on building and enhancing our leading brands, leveraging our integrated business model and improving profitability, efficiency and route to market, this recognition is a testament to our success."

The large company category for Company of the Year recognizes one organization with more than $1 billion in revenue. The 17th annual Beverage Forum, "Navigating the New Normal," featured a series of panel discussions, keynote speeches and the popular industry specific breakout sessions on the challenges beverage companies are facing and how they are reacting to these changing events. The forum also featured Jim Trebilcock, executive vice president of marketing at DPS, in a panel discussion about "The New Marketing Realities."

When Dr Pepper Snapple Group launched in 2008, executives made a commitment to grow the business by focusing on flavor, enhancing its portfolio of more than 50 iconic brands and leveraging the company's integrated business model. Amid a challenging economic environment, DPS grew both volume and dollar share within the CSD category in 2009, its first full year as a stand-alone company. Major achievements for the company in 2009 included a significant makeover of the Snapple brand, gaining national distribution for the Crush brand throughout the US and the launch of innovative brand extensions like Dr Pepper Cherry.

"Dr Pepper Snapple Group continues to be one of the most vibrant and innovative CSD companies in the industry today and its diverse portfolio of leading brands is one of its greatest strengths. Although the company's roots are deeply entrenched in CSD history, its ongoing success is a testament to what can be achieved when the right brands and the right people are combined with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to innovation," said Kevin Francella, co-chair of The Beverage Forum and publisher of Beverage World magazine.

Prepare yourself to be appalled.

I love Moxie, but unless you start drinking it as an infant you probably won't be able to keep it down.

2 weeks ago I was working in the sun, it was 95 out, and I was wearing FRCs (Fire Retardant Clothing), basically a jump suit over my regular clothes.

Needless to say it was QUITE warm. The FRC's, the OUTER layer of clothes were wet from sweat.

We had water bottles on ice, and they were going down quite frequently.

When I got out of work, I made a straight line to a gas station (I drove till I got to a good part of town) and got me 2 bottles of COLD Snapple peach tea. The first went down rather quick, the second, I nursed about 3/4 of the way home, which is about an hour. OHHH was that good!

Nothing better on a hot day I agree!. I also like their re-introduction of the crush products which I remember from my childhood. whatever they're doing, FGS keep doing it.
