Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., has introduced a proposal that would require biological women who identify as men to register with Selective Service in case the U.S. ever has another military draft. "If they want to be treated like men, then they need to do what other men do and register for the Selective Service and get called up like everybody else," Burchett told Military.com. "This group of people is more protected than any other group, and it's not right." Burchett proposed an amendment to the annual bill that authorizes the Department of Defense's spending and policy priorities for the next...

An anti-feminist influencer has sparked outrage online after arguing that divorce should be illegal and women shouldn't have the right to vote. Hannah Pearl Davis, who is known online as Pearl, has more than 1.52 million subscribers to her controversial YouTube channel, where she touts her conservative and misogynistic viewpoints. The 26-year-old content creator saw a spike in popularity this year after the arrest of misogynist influencer Andrew Tate, with whom she shares a number of controversial opinions. Davis defended her beliefs during her recent sit-down interview with Ethan Klein on his H3 Podcast, saying 'we should have policies that...

Vladimir Putin appears to be clamping down on Russian men trying to dodge his invasion of Ukraine by creating a new digital conscription system which would leave them unable to flee abroad. -snip- Under the new plan, Russian men will start receiving draft papers by registered post and via their personal account on the 'Gosuslugi' online public services portal - the same site used to book doctor appointments or manage state pensions. The old system of delivering papers in person will also remain in place. The new rules will apply both to conscripts and to men who are targeted in...

Anthony Richardson is turning heads at the NFL combine and the oddsmakers have taken notice. The Florida quarterback posted two combine records for his position on Saturday with a 40.5-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot, 9-inch broad jump. He also ran a blistering 4.43 40-yard dash. At 6-foot-4 and 244 pounds, Richardson is an elite athlete. Anybody who watched him play in the SEC knows that. And now there are some rumblings that he is in consideration for the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft.

Ruslan kubay was surprised to receive a draft notice in late January. Registered as seriously disabled since childhood—Mr Kubay is missing both hands—he falls under a list of automatic exemptions from service. Even more surprising, however, was the reaction of officials at the local registration office in Drohobych, near Lviv. Far from admitting their error, they doubled down and declared him fit for service. Only a social-media post and subsequent national scandal reversed the decision. “I was disgusted by how easily our blind people can start seeing,” he wrote on Facebook. Mr Kubay’s case was an extreme, but far from...

As South Korea is still technically at war with its hostile neighbour North Korea, all able-bodied men are required to serve in the army. ...South Korea's compulsory military service is a source of grievance for many young men, who begrudge it for taking them away from their studies, work and friends. For months it was rumoured that the government might allow the members of BTS to skip the service, on the basis they had already served their country by earning it billions of dollars, and it would be more beneficial to allow them to carry on doing so. But in...

It will be much simpler to fight NOW against your daughters and young wives being in the position to be drafted, than for your daughters and young wives to go through any conscientious objection process later. Refer to NDAA FY 2023. This comes up every year, and we must be diligent every year. Interestingly, the requirement for women to register for Selective Service was in the House bill and not in the Senate's. This year, it was not in the House bill, but is in the Senate version. We urge those who value the core values which our Armed Forces...

Despite passing an executive order mandating that military members be treated according to their gender identity and not their biological sex, the Biden administration still requires biological men who identify as women to register for the military draft, while those who are "born female and have changed their gender to male" are off the hook. The Selective Service tweeted a reminder recently telling parents that even "if your son is an only son and the last male in your family to carry the family name, he is still required to register with SSS."

Transgender People US citizens or immigrants who are born male and changed their gender to female are still required to register. Individuals who are born female and changed their gender to male are not required to register. OPM notes that “transgender” refers to people whose gender identity and/or expression is different from the sex assigned to them at birth (e.g. the sex listed on an original birth certificate). The OPM Guidance further explains that the term “transgender woman” is typically used to refer to someone who was assigned the male sex at birth but who identifies as a female. Likewise,...

Russian men who are fleeing the country to avoid being drafted into Moscow’s war against Ukraine should seek asylum in the US, the White House said Tuesday. Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters at her regular briefing that the response inside Russia to the so-called “partial mobilization” ordered last week by the country’s president, Vladimir Putin, shows “this war that was started by the Kremlin is unpopular.” “Regardless of their nationality, [people] may apply for asylum in the United States and have their claims adjudicated on a case by case basis,” Jean-Pierre added. “We welcome any folks who are seeking...

“Suppose they gave a war and no one came.” That was a slogan of the 1960s anti-war movement. Now it’s becoming a reality. The U.S. military is facing recruiting nightmare, and Republican lawmakers place the blame on the Biden Administration's vaccine mandates.

Just a point for discussion. If a Federal law is passed to raise the age to 21 as a requirement to buy or own a firearm, shouldn’t the age requirement to join the military be raised to 21 also ??? How can we justify asking 18, 19 & 20 year olds to fight and possibly die for our country when we deny them on of the basic rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights ?

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told “CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell Thursday that the leaked draft of a 5-4 majority Supreme Court opinion that would remove so-called abortion Roe v. Wade protections was “dark” and “incredibly dangerous.” Politico published Associate Justice Samuel Alito’s draft Monday evening, which would overrule the prior abortion cases, Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, in order to uphold an abortion law in Mississippi.

Florida Rep. Byron Donalds and Texas congressional candidate Wesley Hunt, two Black Republicans, slammed Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., for claiming that Republicans want to ban interracial marriage. "The Republicans won’t stop with banning abortion. They want to ban interracial marriage. Do you want to save that?" Swalwell wrote on Twitter late Monday night. "Well, then you should probably vote." "Hi Eric, my name is Wesley Hunt, I’m a Republican nominee in a Congressional District that is 70% white. I’m black, I’m in an interracial marriage, and my wife and I have two biracial daughters," Hunt tweeted in reply on Tuesday....

Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) offered a blistering rebuke on Monday night of a draft ruling to overturn the landmark 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade. The draft ruling, published by Politico, was authored by Justice Samuel Alito and concludes by declaring that Roe and the court’s 1992 decision in Planned Parenthood v. Casey have no grounding in the Constitution. The court is expected to issue an actual ruling in the case in the next two months.

This week, the US Selective Service System tweeted out that conscientious objectors need to register for “Alternate Service” to avoid being used as cannon fodder in the next war. “In the event of a draft, our agency would partner with @fema to provide opportunities to conscientious objectors to ensure our nation keeps moving forward,” the agency tweeted with a link to the website to register.

Congress has once again deferred making a decision as to whether to finally end draft registration or to expand it to include young women as well as young men. The final version of this year’s annual National Defense [sic] Authorization Act (NDAA) approved by Congress on December 14th and signed into law on December 27th by President Biden makes no change to the provisions of the Military Selective Service Act (MSSA) which authorize the president to order men, but not women, to register with the Selective Service System (SSS) for a possible military draft. This leaves the current Selective Service...
