A paltry one in five people in Scotland are in favour of retaining the leftist government’s draconian new speech law as Humza Yousaf faces the prospect of being removed from power at the general election. A survey conducted by the FindOutNow polling firm has found that just 21 per cent of the Scottish public support the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act 2021, which came into force on Monday, criminalising the “stirring up hatred” against several protected classes of people with up to seven years in prison.

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin is working to end fines and fees and develop a reimbursement process for businesses who were "unjustly" subjected to COVID-19 pandemic shutdown violations. The GOP governor issued an executive order Tuesday rolling back strict COVID enforcement policies enacted by the previous Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam. Youngkin, a political newcomer, flipped a typically blue state red in 2021 by running on pro-parent and anti-Biden administration policies, including pandemic response. The new order will direct his state government agencies to report the fines and fees businesses throughout the state were forced to pay during the shutdown. The governor...

Shanghai has once again tightened its draconian lockdowns in a fresh push to achieve “COVID zero” this month — just as China’s biggest city was starting to emerge from a month of strict anti-virus restrictions. Fresh stay-at-home orders were put in place in some of the city’s 16 districts over the weekend, despite new COVID cases continuing to fall.

If you thought the “conservative” Supreme Court would save us from the draconian, unconstitutional vaccine mandates popping up across the country, think again. For the third time, the highest court in the land sided with medical tyranny, suppressing the healthcare rights of American citizens and propelling us closer to The Great Reset. Only Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, and Neil Gorsuch voted in favor of blocking Maine’s vaccine mandate for healthcare workers. It marked the third time the court declined to protect the rights of citizens from being forced to choose between their jobs and the jabs. According to ABC News:...

Resurfaced interviews show Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has been the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease since 1984, was opposed to "draconian" quarantines that could have "unintended consequences" – back in 2014 during an Ebola outbreak in Africa. He warned in late October of that year that enforcing mandatory quarantines would discourage medical professionals from volunteering aid in stricken areas. Governors from both major parties had imposed mandatory 21-day quarantines on people returning from affected countries in an effort to prevent the virus from spreading into the U.S. "The best way to protect us is to...

Measure is virtually unenforceable.. Authorities in Victoria, Australia have banned kissing and hugging on New Year’s Eve despite the fact that there have been no new cases of COVID-19 in two months. State Premier Dan Andrews said hugging and kissing should not take place during celebrations between anyone but immediate family members. “Just as Christmas was a little different this year, New Year’s Eve will be too,” the Victorian Government said. “Take some hand sanitiser with you, don’t share drinks with others and [new year] kisses and hugs should [only] be shared with those in your immediate family.” Quite how...

Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage has predicted that law-abiding Britons will defy the prime minister’s new coronavirus restrictions after months of witnessing far-left protests and illegal raves. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that because of a rise in confirmed cases of coronavirus, from Monday a new law will prevent gatherings of more than six people in public or private. Police will be given the power to disperse, fine, and even arrest those who break the rules.

The limits are set to stay in place for the “foreseeable future,” potentially until or even through Christmas, British Health Secretary Matt Hancock said Wednesday...Sweden drew sharp criticism for its strategy of avoiding a lockdown altogether as deaths spiked earlier this year. More than 5,800 have died in the country, many times higher than the death tolls in neighboring Nordic countries such as Denmark, which has reported 628.

Stating that the people of California need to do more in the face of the growing coronavirus pandemic, Gov. Gavin Newsom Thursday evening announced a statewide stay-at-home order to reduced the threat of COVID-19. “There’s a social contract here. People will self-regulate their behavior,” Newsom said during an address announcing the new order. Newsom noted that the Bay Area had already been under such an order for several days with much of the population abiding by the new restrictions.

Pro-life campaigners have been threatened with arrest under a draconian ‘riot law’ for holding prayer vigils outside an abortion clinic. Police used legislation which is commonly used to disperse rioters and football hooligans to force three campaigners to move away from the clinic on two separate occasions over the past six weeks. Officers issued the group, who try to persuade women to keep their unborn babies, with Section 14 Public Order Act notices. The strongly worded notice, which was used on both occasions, read: ‘I believe the intention of the organisers is the intimidation of others with a view to...

DNA Test Helps Enforce Pet Clean Up Policy SAN DIEGO - The same DNA technology that has solved cold case murders is now being used to crack down on a whole new class of criminals: dog owners who don't clean up after their pets. "Unfortunately, people leave surprises in my yard, but I always carry plastic bags, so I can clean up those surprises," said dog owner Ted Stevens. Now, BioPet Vet Lab ,a company in Knoxville, Tenn., has developed technology that is says can identify the dogs that leave unwelcome calling cards on neighborhood lawns. The system, called Pooprints,...

The hip, transparent and social media-loving Obama administration is showing its analog roots. And maybe even some hypocrisy highlights. White House officials have banished one of the best political reporters in the country from the approved pool of journalists covering presidential visits to the Bay Area for using now-standard multimedia tools to gather the news. The Chronicle's Carla Marinucci - who, like many contemporary reporters, has a phone with video capabilities on her at all times - pulled out a small video camera last week and shot some protesters interrupting an Obama fundraiser at the St. Regis Hotel.

Last week, House Budget Committee Chair Paul Ryan (R-WI) outlined $58 billion in non-security domestic spending cuts. Within hours, Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) attacked the proposal calling it “unworkable” and “even more draconian than we originally anticipated.” But these outcries were hardly unexpected considering Washington’s spending addiction. As National Review’s Rich Lowry commented in his column this morning, “There is a complicated mathematical symbol practically unknown to the House Appropriations Committee. It’s called the minus sign.” In response to these outcries, Matthias Shapiro, the creator of Obama Budget Cuts Visualization and The National Debt Road Trip videos, has created another new video which...

Draconian new equality laws could spell the end of the office joke. Ministers yesterday announced that the vast bulk of Labour’s controversial Equality Act would be implemented immediately, despite concerns about its impact on business and office life.

Today I received, from a reliable source, the below snippet from an email passed along containing more information, revealing the draconian and egregious content of the so-called Obama Health Plan which is really being used as a TROJAN HORSE for a much wider takeover of free America and control over its citizens. I do not have a copy of the bill to verify the information but those that might, hopefully will do so. This horror story just keeps getting worse. ================ Text from an email that I received yesterday: It seems the “National Health Care” debate is just cover -...

In these last days, the Bible says it will be a time of mass hybridization and the mixture and corruption of human DNA by fallen angels, also known as "Aliens." The government is and has been, conditioning the existence of aliens through Hollywood, science fiction, cartoons, and other sources. However, they are not telling you the whole truth. These Aliens are not ascended masters, or enlightened ones, or beings from galaxies millions of miles away, nor are they our forefathers or original creators. They are fallen angels who were kicked out of heaven for their rebellion against the headship...

LONDON (Reuters) - The European Union may try to draw up a media code of conduct to avoid a repeat of the furor caused by the publication across Europe of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad, an EU commissioner said on Thursday. In an interview with Britain's Daily Telegraph, EU Justice and Security Commissioner Franco Frattini said the charter would encourage the media to show "prudence" when covering religion. "The press will give the Muslim world the message: We are aware of the consequences of exercising the right of free expression," he told the newspaper. "We can and we are ready...

The Supreme Court's medical marijuana decision this past June was a minor defeat for the so-called states' rights cause but a major setback for compassion and common sense. It marked one of the few defeats suffered by retiring Justice Sandra Day O'Connor in her long campaign against federal regulation of the national economy and for the enhancement of individual rights. This time, she should have won. Although the decision temporarily halted the conservative assault, it allowed federal authorities to deny a locally grown and marketed drug with proven therapeutic value to people who desperately need it. In Gonzales v. Raich,...

Proposed legislation that threatens local land control undermines the credibility of the saying: If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, why it must be a duck. Sen. Sheila Kuehl has introduced legislation, SB 1462, that sounds pallatible, but would squeeze power from local planning commissions, city councils and boards of supervisors. Her bill would establish a 17-member Southern California Military Greenway Commission. The proposal would have the naive believe it is merely designed to protect the region's valuable military bases. After all, there's few if any in Kern County who would not want the strongest measures enacted...
