  • John Elway Says ‘KNEEL ON MY FIELD AND YOU’RE FIRED ON THE SPOT’?

John Elway head of Football Operations for the Denver Broncos laid down the general rules for the upcoming season of National Football League(NFL). The Facebook image claims the Elway statement “Kneel on my field and you’re fired on the spot ” He is already polishing up his index finger to point at the traitors he’ll fire. But there is no evidence that dynamic general manager John has said this statement or have major media has picked such this statement yet none have done this no evidence is there. Protest against racial injustice and police brutality due to the death of...

Pat Bowlen, who purchased the Denver Broncos in 1984 and oversaw what became one of the NFL’s most successful franchises, passed away late Thursday night after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was 75. “Our family wishes to express its sincere gratitude for the outpouring of support we have received in recent years. Heaven got a little bit more orange and blue tonight,” the Bowlen family wrote in a statement released by the Broncos. “Pat Bowlen had a competitive spirit with a great sense of humor. As fun-loving as he was, he always wanted us to understand the big...
  • Firing of Several Black Coaches Puts N.F.L. Hiring Under Scrutiny (NYT alert)

New York Times ^ | December 31, 2018 | Bill Pennington and Ken Belson
... Four black coaches were fired Sunday or Monday, including the Jets’ Todd Bowles, who was let go shortly after his team’s final loss Sunday. The Jets had a 14-34 record in the last three seasons under Bowles. Marvin Lewis, who had been at the helm of the Cincinnati Bengals since 2003, was fired Monday. Though he had resurrected the moribund Bengals and took them to the playoffs multiple times, he never won a playoff game and this season was Cincinnati’s third consecutive one with a losing record. Also fired Monday was Denver Broncos Coach Vance Joseph, who had presided...

Broncos general manager John Elway created a stir Friday when he said Colin Kaepernick had a chance to sign with Denver but turned them down. Elway failed to mention that the Broncos wanted Kaepernick to take a major pay cut.... ...Kaepernick seemingly responded to Elway's comments by retweeting a tweet comparing his career quarterback rating to Elway's rating:

After all the sturm und drang gripping the nation over why Colin Kaepernick still hasn’t been given a starting QB position in the NFL and whether or not it was some sort of racist conspiracy, I was rather surprised to see this headline over at Bleacher Report. According to Broncos General Manager John Elway, Kaepernick actually had an offer for a quarterback job in hand but he turned it down. Of course, digging into the details of the story, it’s not as much of a game-changer as you might imagine. Denver Broncos general manager John Elway said Thursday that...

The widespread assumption at this point, when it comes to the future of Colin Kaepernick, is he will not find work in the NFL moving forward. It's tough to get a gig when you're suing your potential employers! But according to Broncos VP of Football Ops John Elway on Thursday, Kaepernick COULD have a job if he wanted to. In other words, Elway blames Kaepernick for not taking the Broncos offer when it was on the table. "Colin had his chance here. We offered him a contract. He didn't take it," Elway said. "So, as I said it in my...

The Denver Broncos saved some of their best defense for after the game. At issue: boss John Elway labeling them soft. It didn’t sit too well with a few of the players, though others welcomed the critique. Yet the comments didn’t stoke the necessary fire, either, as the Broncos lost 20-17 to the Cincinnati Bengals, extending their losing streak to six games. “None of us are soft,” said linebacker Brandon Marshall, whose team met Saturday night to discuss the remarks by their Hall of Fame QB turned general manager. “For him to call us soft, it just rubbed us the...
  • Denver Broncos Players: No More Kneeling For Us

The Denver Broncos players say the days of kneeling for the national anthem are over -- and beginning Sunday, they will all STAND together. The players issued a statement moments ago ... acknowledging the split this past Sunday when several players took a knee and others stood for the anthem before playing the Bills. "Last week, members of our team joined their brothers around the NFL in a powerful display of unity ... As controversial as it appeared, we needed to show our collective strength and resolve." But now, the players say they will be united in standing together moving...
  • The Reactions To Brock Osweiler Getting Signed Before Kaepernick Are Gold

Brock Osweiler is headed back to the Denver Broncos, and people are not happy he got picked up before Colin Kaepernick. Osweiler, who played for the Broncos two seasons ago, was resigned by Denver almost immediately following getting cut by the Cleveland Browns. As you can imagine, people were not happy Osweiler has a job and Kaepernick doesn’t. Brock Osweiler has a job and Colin Kaepernick does not. Just let that sink in. #Kaepernick #BrockOsweiler — Ashley Galpin (@AGalpin1) September 3, 2017 I think Kaepernick + Broncos D would give them 11 wins. But no, go ahead, sign Osweiler.

Did Donald Trump violate IRS rules, by using a charity's money to buy himself a signed football helmet? Four years ago, at a charity fundraiser in Palm Beach, Donald Trump got into a bidding war at the evening's live auction. The items up for sale: A Denver Broncos helmet, autographed by then-star quarterback Tim Tebow, and a Tebow jersey. Trump won, eventually, with a bid of $12,000. Afterward, he posed with the helmet. His purchase made gossip-column news: a flourish of generosity, by a mogul with money to burn. "The Donald giveth, and The Donald payeth," wrote the Palm Beach...
  • Coors, Shanahan to host Donald Trump fundraiser in Colorado

Pete Coors and Mike Shanahan, a pair of giants in Colorado beer and football, are two of several boldfaced names planning a Friday fundraiser for Donald Trump to coincide with the Republican candidate’s visit to the state that day for the Western Conservative Summit. While the names on the host committee may suggest a Sunday-tailgate kind of affair — Coors is a longtime beer executive and Shanahan used to coach the Denver Broncos — the entry fee to the presidential fundraiser is decidedly more expensive than what one would find in the parking lot of Mile High stadium. It’s at...

Lopez reported that Talib was one of three people shot after a fight in V Live, a Dallas night club, and that Talib is at Medical City Hospital. In 2011, Aqib Talib was indicted but later cleared on charges in Dallas County that he pistol-whipped and shot at his sister’s boyfriend.

Shortly after Super Bowl 50 ended with a humiliating defeat for the heavily-favored Carolina Panthers, led by quarterback Cam Newton, Newton and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning shook hands on the field and exchanged greetings and comments, with Manning (who has suffered his own humiliating losses in previous Super Bowls) offering encouragement, then each went his own way. Unfortunately for Newton, he later would have an infamous press conference in which he showed up wearing a "hoodie," mumbled some answers to questions, and then would walk out after three minutes, leaving the press astonished. Not surprisingly, the sports media jumped...

A national women's group is urging companies that sponsor Peyton Manning to cut ties with the Broncos quarterback. UltraViolet, a group made up of over 700,000 people, specifically called out Papa John's and Nationwide Insurance as two companies that should suspend ties with Manning immediately. The group would also like the NFL to investigate the 1996 incident at the University of Tennessee that took place between Manning and former Volunteers trainer Jamie Naughright.

TimTebow got a warm Philly welcome. Tebow threw for 69 yards and ran for a touchdown in his first game in two years, Kenjon Barner returned a punt 92 yards for a touchdown and ran for a score and the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Indianapolis Colts, 36-10, on Sunday. Tebow got a standing ovation when he entered midway through the third quarter and the crowd roared so loud when his name was introduced he had to quiet them down because he was taking the snap in a shotgun. MARK SANCHEZ will get the start tomorrow in the preseason opener against the Colts, but Eagles coach Chip Kelly cautioned that Sanchez probably will take only a handful of snaps. The bulk of the quarterbacking will be done by Matt Barkley and Tim Tebow, who would seem to be fighting for a single roster spot as the Eagles' third QB. "I want to see what happens with those guys," Kelly said.
