Thirty years ago I used to drink whiskey and play chess with several of the MP's and PMI's at Ft. Hood. Though it never rated five stars, the place was home when I was on pass from my own installation. Fifty-five years ago the subways I rode had Radio Free Europe Ads promoting beaming the Truth behind the Iron Curtain. Today we keep the truth from our own people. The very protoges of the journalists so enraged by Bill Moyers lying about Vietnam now routinely lie or refuse access to the Truth. The American people just yawn and vote Democrat....

As the Federal bailout bonanza prepares to spread beyond the mortgage and financial sectors to fill Detroit's depleted coffers, few economic or policy analysts have spared a thought for the destitution of the U.S. government itself. Put simply, our government doesn't have enough spare cash to bailout a lemonade stand let alone a bloated and failing industry that is losing tens of billions of dollars per month.
