That’s after a 39% increase in crime in 2023 and the most murders in 25 years. But how likely are we to get at the truth when it comes to crime statistics? Between 2016 and 2020, violent crime fell by 17% under Trump — and soared by 43% under Biden between 2020 and 2022. Of course, news outlets routinely assert that Americans are mistaken in believing that violent crime is rising. But Democrats and the media don’t understand the difference between the number of crimes reported to police and the total number of crimes.

The New York Police Department crime report for 2021 has been released, and the findings are shocking regarding violent crime committed by minorities. An analysis of the numbers shows that 96.1 percent of homicide suspects arrested in New York City were either black, Hispanic or Asian. Additionally, 93.8 percent of robbery suspects were non-whites, 94.9 percent of rape suspects arrested were not white, and 97.8 percent of shooting suspects arrested in 2021 were non-whites.

The Washington Post tried to push back on President Donald Trump’s claim that the most dangerous cities in America are run by Democrats – but the graph provided largely proved Trump’s point.
