EXPOSED: This is how Democrats keep crime data down

- DC Police Commander placed on leave, it was discovered he directed officers to downgrade felony reports and alter crime classification - Charges like felony assault, shootings and stabbings were downgraded - Just before the election last year, the DC Police Commander deliberately manipulated the data and show improvements in crime - Their manipulated stats showed a 26% drop in violent crime

Here’s what charges were downgraded to

- Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (ADW) - e.g., bat or gun (Felony; counts as violent crime) was downgraded to simple assault (misdemeanor)

- Shooting or Stabbing (Felony; aggravated assault) was downgraded to “injured person to hospital” (non-criminal report)

- Carjacking (Felony; robbery with violence) was downgraded to theft

- General Felonies (e.g., thefts, robberies) were downgraded to Misdemeanors (unspecified)

I’ve been saying this for a long time now in regards to the claims that crime is down. Crimes that should be charged as felonies are reduced to misdemeanors. Crimes are also being dismissed, and arrest reports being tossed. If there’s no record of it, it didn’t happen.

Blacks commit most of the serious crimes/murders in America, so Dems are totally soft on crime, which in turn generates more crime by blacks.

Many times crime is way higher in already crime ridden areas because victims don’t even call police.
Another factor- often crime numbers increases when more cops are hired. Why? Because more crime is reported.
It’s a tangled web and been going on for years and years.

We're long overdue for an independent 3rd party system for reporting crime, like 'Hey Jackass' expanded nationwide.

Victims can enter the pertinent facts of the incident and links can be added to mugshots, etc. Plot the points on maps like the infamous "poop maps" of Democrat cities such as San Francisco.

Don't let politicians, law enforcement, government, property developers, chambers of commerce, realtors, academia, etc., who work hard to suppress this information, continue to do so.

In a big Democract-run city near me, police have announced they won’t be responding to minor crimes anymore. You just call the crime in, and get a report number.

How long before folks don’t bother to call in minor crimes?

Then like magic, the crime stats will improve.

Shoplifting goes completely unreported... They don’t even acknowledge that shoplifting happens anymore.

That’s caused crime rates to dwindle in most locals. If a tree falls in the forest and nobody reports it... Did a tree fall in the forest?

I’m surprised they didn’t categorize all criminal behavior as ‘wrongdoing’. That way, there would have been no crimes; just wrongdoing.

Downgrading crime numbers has been common everywhere for years. Chicago explains it:
Property crime is only recorded if you need it to collect your insurance. If you didn’t have insurance on your stolen wallet, there’s no reason to report it.

Assault? If you need a report to get off work or to get the insurance to pay then we’ll report it. But no sense to report it if your not going to use it.

Both R and D, big city and small town do it. High crime statistics is bad for tourism, bad for business.
