ABC legal analyst Sunny Hostin told her co-hosts Friday on ABC’s “The View” that she believed Republican presidential candidate for Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) was “crass” for suggesting President Joe Biden wouldn’t survive a second term. On Fox News, Haley said, “He’s running again in 2024. I think that we can all be very clear and say as a matter of fact that you vote for Joe Biden you really are counting on a President Harris because the idea that he would make it to 86 years old is not something that I think is likely.” Co-host Joy Behar said,...

So the news is that local officials in ARIZONA were doing more to get Kayla Mueller released than Team Obama. Now that the girl is gone, Obama is releasing statements of sympathy and pretending like he and Michelle give a damn. Just saw a report on local media that was an obvious attempt to boost Obama's image. My theory is Valerie saw how King Abdullah got a boost when he ACTUALLY DID something, and now wants her man child to be praised. Thoughts?

The Obama administration will not implement a controversial piece of the healthcare reform law, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said Friday. Sebelius said the department will not continue trying to implement the CLASS program, which was intended to provide insurance for long-term care. Republicans charged that the program’s financial structure was unsustainable, and Sebelius conceded as much Friday. “We have not identified a way to make CLASS work at this time,” she wrote on the Huffington Post's website. Sebelius said HHS will “suspend” implementation of the program. The department recently reassigned the people it had placed in the...

"I don't sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar, we talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick."

Washington (AP) - President Barack Obama says his talks with Gulf fishermen and oil spill experts are not an academic exercise. They're "so I know whose ass to kick." One target for the presidential foot: Tony Hayward, the embattled chief executive of BP. Obama was asked by Matt Lauer of NBC's "Today" about Hayward's past comments that "I want my life back," that the Gulf was "a big ocean" and that "the environmental impact of this disaster is likely to be very, very modest." "He wouldn't be working for me after any of those statements," Obama said, according to excerpts...

WASHINGTON — Amid the outpouring of inaugural joy over the racial progress represented by President Barack Obama, there was a single, humorous mention of work still to be done. After the first black president had been sworn in, Rev. Joseph Lowery' ended his benediction with a rhyme familiar to black churchgoers: "We ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around..." There was laughter from the enormous crowd. The 87-year-old civil rights pioneer continued: "When yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get...

At the funeral of Coretta Scott King, President Bush said her dignity was a “daily rebuke to the pettiness and cruelty of segregation.” The president, with class and compassion, spoke at New Birth Missionary Church in Atlanta, Georgia, to honor the wife of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unfortunately, there were others who spoke and turned what should be a sacred ceremony into an opportunity to engage in left-wing attacks. As noted in the story Political Posturing at King Funeral Draws Cheers, Jeers, liberal activists used the funeral of Coretta Scott King to demean President Bush and...

The sum was levied by customs in Colombo which have refused to grant tax exemptions to non-governmental organisations working to repair damage caused by the giant Boxing Day wave. The Indian-made Mahindra vehicles, essential to negotiate damaged roads and rough tracks, remained stuck in port at Colombo for almost a month as officials completed the small mountain of paperwork...

Oxfam pays $1m tsunami aid duty Oxfam says it abides by the laws of the countries it works in British charity Oxfam has had to pay the Sri Lankan government $1m in import duty for vehicles used in tsunami reconstruction work. The Associated Press - COLUMBUS, Ga. A complaint has been filed accusing a Muscogee County deputy marshal of allowing neighbors to pick through the belongings of a woman who had been evicted.
