WASHINGTON - (KRT) - He was the nation's greatest booster of "family values."

He was also America's first divorced president. But Ronald Reagan's marriage to second wife Nancy was as close and strong a partnership as the White House has ever seen.

"I miss her if she just steps out of the room," he wrote in a 1990 autobiography, "Ronald Reagan: An American Life," adding in his dedication, "I cannot imagine life without her."

She was at his side from the time of their Hollywood marriage in 1952 through his last years, as he suffered the ravages of Alzheimer's disease.

According to this week's tabloids, Roger Clinton is way behind on child support to his ex-wife, has had his vehicle repossessed and Bill and Hillary had to pay for his rehab and continue to pay for his son's tuition.

Tony Rodham was assaulted by a man who accused him of having sex with his girlfriend.. "Coyne said he came to the cottage at about 3 a.m. and saw his girlfriend Kelly Ann Quick, 36, and Tony Rodham having sex," a Pennsylvania State Police spokesman said. "He assaulted Rodham and the noise alerted his brother, Hugh Rodham, who ordered him from the cottage." (UPI)

What this small article fails to mention is that Tony's son, (Babs Boxer's grandson) was in this cottage when this altercation took place.

This dysfunctional family garbage is a ad hominem attack by liberals who were looking to see the worst in a great leader. Peggy Noonan in "When Character was King" explains the problems with his kids very well. What family doesn't have conflict and problems and rebellious children?

When you consider that he is the son of an alcoholic and the pressures of Hollywood and government office, he was a strong parent. His kids turned out well.
