I think a lot of Conservatives are mad about the Miers nommination because they wanted a fight with Liberals in the Senate and Judiciary Committee. Bush didn't give them one (I think they would get one if they started backing this nomminee but that's beside the point right now), so they are picking a fight with Bush. Call me a sell-out but I prefer a win. And that is what Miers is to conservatives. She's a gun-toting, anti-abortion evangelical Christian.
