In the aftermath of losing the Men's College World Series to Tennessee on Monday, Texas A&M baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle was adamant that he would "never" leave the program for another job. On Tuesday, Schlossnagle agreed to leave Texas A&M to take over the baseball program at Texas. Schlossnagle and the Longhorns confirmed the news Tuesday night, following multiple reports. In three seasons in College Station, Schlossnagle led the Aggies to three NCAA tournament appearances and two trips to the College World Series. Due to the severe weather and the concern for student-athlete welfare, the 2016 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship Game between Arizona and Coastal Carolina has been postponed until Thursday, June 30 at Noon (CT). UNC defeated Rice 7-4 and will advance to the Finals of the College World Series to face the Oregon St Beavers for the second straight year. OSU defeated UNC last year in the finals 2 games to 1. UNC lost to Rice on Sunday night, but won three games in a row, Louisville and two and row over Rice, to advance to the finals. The finals begin Saturday night and resume Sunday.
