BATON ROUGE -- The LSU baseball squad will wear a special, limited-edition jersey for Sunday's 1 p.m. game versus Arkansas as part of Military Appreciation Day in Alex Box Stadium.
The jerseys are black with letters and numbers presented in camouflage colors as a tribute to the men and women of the armed forces. All military personnel will be admitted to Sunday's game for only $4 with their military ID.
"We're proud in this small way to be able to show our appreciation to the military," said LSU coach Smoke Laval. "It is an honor to recognize the service of all soldiers -- past and present -- and the sacrifices they have made for our country."
Some of the jerseys will be shipped following the game to Louisiana troops serving overseas.

Here are the SD Padres' camo uniform they wear for special military appreciation days.
Their military promotions rep is a Vietnam POW who injured his hand when he ejected. When he asked for medical treatment th prison staff cut off half his hand without anesthetic. One tough guy, a great American, and a great guy to have a beer with.
