If MSNBC is the "place for liberal politics," CNN is the place for latent America bashing, especially its corporations. On his Oct. 22 CNN program, Rick Sanchez wore his American guilt like a badge of honor and said he wasn't going to stand for America to look bad because of what a corporation had been accused of doing, in this case Chevron (NYSE:CVX), whether they did it or not. "We do a lot of this, and I'm glad you like it," Sanchez said. "What we do is we try and connect with what's going on in our hemisphere, this is...

Maybe there's a reason why the media have either denigrated or completely ignored the Sept. 12 march in Washington, D.C. - they were highly critical of their job performance as well. Aside from protesters taking on CNN reporter Lisa Desjardins, as NewsBusters Matt Sheffield pointed out, there were also other pockets of backlash against media evident at the march, which were captured on video (pardon my shoddy camera work). "You're supposed to use freedom of the press to protect us," one participant yelled at Steinhauser, expressing his frustration with CNN's decision to down play the ACORN scandal covered by Fox...
  • The day Twitter kicked CNN’s behind

Yesterday is the day when Twitter thoroughly beat CNN. Badly beat CNN. Embarrassingly beat CNN. And most other USA-based media too.Over on friendfeed we’ve been talking about this for the past 12 hours. Here’s one thread on CNN’s horrid news judgment. This second thread is interesting because of the number of interesting news sources linked to by various people. Don’t miss the photos and videos. Great examples of photojournalism.ReadWriteWeb wrote a good post to CNN.I’ve been clicking “like” on the best items about Iran that have come through friendfeed. The photo above I found on TwitPic here. Pulitzer Prize winning material.

How many tens of thousands of people marching in protest does it take for CNN to acknowledge that it's happening? The Iranian people are outraged at the lack of coverage by CNN. The Iranian people need publicity about their plight and desire for a Free Iran in order to topple the regime. Iranians were shouting in English: "We Want Freedom". If it isn't reported, who will know? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nifgnonH-BU&feature=related BBC reporter not afraid to show what's happening - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcHT8-ps64w

A source from the Ministry of Interior said that the real results were 42 million votes for Mousavi, and only 5.6 million for Ahmadinejad. Iran's Militant Clerics Society has called for the vote to be annulled and a new election held.
