  • TSA Employee Policy on Homosexual Employees (Why Demand "Same Sex Only" Pat-downs, Then?)

    11/21/2010 5:51:49 AM PST · by AmericanInTokyo · 101 replies
Here's one I don't get.If you opt out of the TSA backsplatter x-ray for whatever reason, and are directed into the aggressive (genital pat included) physical examination, it would seem you are automatically governed to a TSA screener of the same sex. First, someone correct if this is an incorrect understanding. As far as I have been able to research, the TSA states in its "Head-to-Toe Screening Policies": "It is TSA's policy that passengers should be screened by an officer of the same gender in a professional, respectful manner." Now, there can be only one plausible and logical explanation for...

  • Kathleen Willey Describes Assault in Oval Office [Sordid Detail Alert]

I’ve been reading Kathleen Willey’s new book, Target: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton. In it, she provides details of her encounter with Clinton in the Oval Office that AFAIK have never been previously revealed. I urge everyone to buy the book. It is a very good read. Below is her story as told in the book. The background, of course, is that Kathleen had asked to see the President because of a family financial crisis. She had been volunteering at the White House, but could not do so any longer; she needed a paying job. I...

NEW YORK – There will be no shortage of high moments for future Virgin Galactic passengers set on a suborbital ride aboard a SpaceShipTwo spacecraft, a pilot who tested the vehicle’s predecessor said Friday. “Everything you see with your eyes is ‘Wow,’ and everything you feel with your body is ‘Wow,’” test pilot Brian Binnie told a packed crowd here at Wired Magazine’s NextFest forum. “It’s literally like you’ve been carried away.”

Four Fox network programs, led by the comedies "The War at Home," "The Family Guy" and "American Dad," topped a parents group's annual listing of the worst prime-time shows for family viewing. The Parents Television Council rated two aspirational reality shows, ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and NBC's new "Three Wishes," as the best programs for family viewing. The group's president, L. Brent Bozell, said he was alarmed that the three Fox Sunday night comedies are being marketed as family friendly. "Families should not be deceived," he said. "The top three worst shows all contain crude and raunchy dialogue with...

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Mark Felt, the former FBI official who unmasked himself as the legendary "Deep Throat" source who leaked Watergate secrets, twice led FBI probes into finding Deep Throat, The Nation magazine said on Tuesday. Combing through originally confidential FBI files now available to the public, co-writers David Corn and Jeff Goldberg found documents that showed Felt in charge of finding the source of Bob Woodward's and Carl Bernstein's Washington Post scoops that helped bring down President Richard Nixon. "How Deep Throat Fooled the FBI," which shows how Felt cunningly threw the federal agency off his trail, will...

Here's a rich irony: I'm writing today about a new children's book, but I can't describe the plot in a family newspaper without warning you first that it is entirely inappropriate for children. The book is "Rainbow Party," by juvenile fiction author Paul Ruditis. The publisher is Simon Pulse, a kiddie lit division of the esteemed Simon & Schuster. The cover of the book features the title spelled out in fun, Crayola-bright font. Beneath the title is an illustrated array of lipsticks in bold colors. The main characters in the book are high school sophomores -- supposedly typical 14- and...

Howdy Freepers, from Cochise County, Arizona – soon to be known as The Scourge of Politicians. As our cohort Spiff announced yesterday, we here on the border were blessed today with the presence of Senator John McCain, Senator John Kyl, Congressman Jim Kolbe, and Congressman Raul Grijalva. All from Arizona and all here to remind us that we have not been forgotten – or at least here to find out what in hell has been happening at home since they moved to Washington, DC. As those of you who follow the situation here know, all hell broke out here last...
