The ABC, CBS and NBC evening news shows continued to suffer from a chronic condition of ignorance to news that could damage President Joe Biden’s agenda to hike taxes. The Business Roundtable (BRT) released a survey April 12 headlined, “Business Roundtable Survey Finds Corporate Tax Increases Would Weaken U.S. Business Expansion, Hiring, Investments in R&D and Innovation.” The survey of 178 CEOs conducted between March 8 and March 19 revealed very damaging news to Biden’s agenda: “98 percent of CEOs said that an increase in the corporate tax rate from 21 percent to 28 percent would have a ‘moderately’ to...

Rep. Liz Cheney R-Wyo., chair of the House GOP Conference, warned Sunday that President Joe Biden’s infrastructure plan will ultimately wind up raising taxes on the middle class. In an interview on CBS News’ “Face The Nation,” Cheney said the whole bill will have to be “redone” if it’s going to win bipartisan support. “You are certainly going to see in addition to the corporate tax increases in the bill, you'll see middle-class tax increases,” she said of the $2.3 trillion proposal.”

President Biden will issue an executive order Friday to form a commission to study reforms to the United States Supreme Court. Biden, under pressure from liberals to expand the size of the high court, promised to create the commission during a "60 Minutes" interview back in October in the wake of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death. The 36-member commission will be bipartisan and will hold public meetings to evaluate court reforms. The new panel will have 180 days from the first meeting to complete its report of recommendations.

The ABC, CBS and NBC evening news networks ignored yet another major economic report slapping down President Joe Biden’s ridiculous corporate tax hike plan as disastrous. The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) released a new damning economic study Thursday ripping apart another Big Lie in Biden’s agenda. The study projected that a corporate tax hike from 21 percent to 28 percent — in addition to other items like increasing the top individual tax rate and reinstating the corporate alternative minimum tax — “would result in less economic activity and 1 million jobs lost in the first two years.” But that’s...

"I know I'll be ordering mine," the Governor tweeted. Interested in dressing like Ron DeSantis? You don’t have to buy a business suit or a state of Florida crisis windbreaker when a simple t-shirt will do. The first-term Republican Governor endorsed a new t-shirt from the conservative sports talk show Outkick on Twitter Friday. But it’s not just any tee: This shirt offers caustic commentary on a critical “60 Minutes“ story about DeSantis’ vaccine distribution efforts. The story suggested linkage between a sizable Publix donation to DeSantis’ political committee and the store being used to roll out vaccines, a relationship...

This past Sunday, critically acclaimed CBS program "60 Minutes" broadcast an alleged bombshell report on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and an apparent "pay to play" scheme involving supermarket chain Publix and the state's distribution of COVID-19 vaccines. The report alleged that because of a campaign donation Publix made to DeSantis, the governor favored them in the rollout of the vaccine in the state. The program further stated that in doing this, minorities were adversely affected since Publix stores are not as prevalent in their neighborhoods. The segment included a video of a confrontation between DeSantis and the "60 Minutes" correspondent in...

TALLAHASSEE, FL—In response to being caught deceptively editing a statement by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who later called them "lairs" for pushing a "fake narrative," CBS hit back today with another bombshell. Several photos, described by CBS as "totally real and authentic," appear to show DeSantis clubbing baby seals with his best friend Adolf Hitler. "We are shocked and saddened by this terrible reveal of Desantis's past," said correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi. "It would appear from these completely undoctored photographs, that Ron DeSantis is both a fan of clubbing baby seals and a Nazi. Please know that I am just as...

Just how deep does the hole “60 Minutes” is digging for itself go? Let’s just say they’ve already got both feet in the grave: Members of both parties have accused the venerable newsmagazine show of concocting a “hit piece” accusing the potential 2024 Republican presidential candidate of engaging in a “pay-for-play” scheme involving the grocery store chain Publix. CBS News issued a statement on Tuesday defending its Sunday night report. “When Florida state data revealed people of color were vaccinated at a much lower rate than their wealthier neighbors, ‘60 Minutes’ reported the facts surrounding the vaccine’s rollout, which is...

"60 Minutes" condensed Florida governor's lengthy "pay-to-play" rebuttal down to several seconds. ================================================================= CBS is facing bipartisan backlash after using heavily edited footage of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a"60 Minutes" story alleging potential political corruption on the part of the Republican politician. "60 Minutes" reporter Sharyn Alfonsi alleged in a recent report for the long-running news magazine that wealthy residents of Florida "cut the line during [the state's] frenzied vaccine rollout." In the segment, Alfonsi suggested that the state government's recent decision to award a vaccine distribution contract to the grocery chain Publix had the appearance of potential favoritism....

‘60 Minutes’ falsehoods provide the perfect vehicle for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to prove that Democrat propagandists posing as the press deserve no heightened legal protection. On Sunday, CBS launched another attack on a conservative politician based on lies when “60 Minutes” peddled a conspiracy theory targeting Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. If wise, DeSantis will use this latest attack to launch a counteroffensive against the corrupt media, by suing for defamation and challenging the standard for liability established by the Supreme Court in New York Times v. Sullivan. As The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway detailed yesterday, “60 Minutes” ignored the real scandals...

Sharyn Alfonsi: Publix, as you know, donated $100,000 to your campaign, and then you rewarded them with the exclusive rights to distribute the vaccination in Palm Beach— Ron DeSantis: So, first of all, that — what you’re saying is wrong. That’s— Sharyn Alfonsi: How is that not pay-to-play? Ron DeSantis: —that, that’s a fake narrative. So, first of all, when we did, the first pharmacies that had it were CVS and Walgreens. And they had a long term care mission. So they were going to the long term care facilities. They got vaccine in the middle of December, they started...

A 60 Minutes story on Florida's vaccine rollout accused Ron DeSantis, the state's Republican governor, of making a corrupt deal with Publix to distribute the vaccine. CBS reporter Sharyn Alfonsi noted that the grocery chain donated $100,000 to DeSantis' election campaign and suggested the lucrative vaccination contract was a "pay-to-play" scheme. It's an accusation that doesn't really stand up to scrutiny: For one thing, Publix—like many large corporations—gives money to both Republicans and Democrats. But more importantly, the decision to have Publix coordinate vaccination was not even made by the governor's office. According to Jared Moskowitz, director of the Florida...

See also: CBS caught being nakedly partisan, sends evidence to the memory holeThere are two loci of corruption in America: Academia and the media. Academia churns out legions of indoctrinated young people, and the media churn out lies. The latest example is the way that CBS edited a press conference that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis held to make it appear that he had granted vaccination rights to the Publix grocery store chain in exchange for campaign donations. To the media’s dismay, Florida sailed through the COVID panic because it didn’t panic. Governor Ron DeSantis made the logical decision when the disease...

As with the pushing of anti-Bush forgeries, CBS News continues to push partisan propaganda at the expense of the truth.Rather than cover actual scandals involving Democrat governors and their botched responses to COVID, CBS’ “60 Minutes” tried to invent a scandal involving Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ distribution of vaccines. To push the false narrative and protect its favored governors, “60 Minutes” refused to interview people who disputed its false narrative, selectively edited video to hide facts, and omitted data that debunked its thesis and accurately describe Florida’s success. It’s not that “60 Minutes” couldn’t have reported on real scandals involving...

Sharon Osbourne has left The Talk following a dispute over her defense of Piers Morgan's criticism of Meghan Markle, CBS confirmed in a statement on Friday. Osbourne, 68, ended her more than a decade with the daytime chat show following the heated on-air debate on March 10, which sent the production into a hiatus that has lasted two weeks. The controversy began when Osbourne delivered a vociferous defense of her friend Piers Morgan, who quit Good Morning Britain after furious criticism of his staunch insistence that he did not believe Markle's explosive claims in her interview with Oprah Winfrey.

CBS News projects that Republican Julia Letlow will win the special election for Louisiana's 5th district, taking over the would-be seat of her late husband, Luke Letlow, who died of COVID-19 complications days before he could be sworn in. She will be the first Republican woman to represent Louisiana in Congress, and will boost the number of Republican women currently serving in the house to a record 31. "This is an incredible moment and it is truly hard to put into words," Letlow said in a statement Saturday night. "What was born out of the terrible tragedy of losing my...
