“The buck didn’t stop with The Big Guy, that’s where it started,” Rep. Clay Higgins says, referring to a bribery allegation against President Joe Biden....... The White House dismisses the revelation that a government whistleblower implicates President Joe Biden in a bribery scheme, calling the accusation no different than other investigations of the president’s family “going on five years.” But this allegation is quite different, noted one member of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee. “This is the first time there has been a direct link to President Biden and influence peddling,” Rep. Russell Fry, R-S.C., told The Daily Signal...

The East African country of Uganda is taking another step further in restricting the freedoms of LGBTI people. Just 'promoting' homosexuality, for example, is now a punishable offence. Uganda and more than thirty other African countries had already banned same-sex relationships. Today the Ugandan parliament passed a law that virtually all expressions by LGBTI people punishable. In addition to sex between people of the same sex, 'promoting' and 'inciting' homosexuality is now a punishable offence. Violations lead to severe penalties, such as life imprisonment for same-sex sex. It that happens to someone under the age of 18 or if the...

President Joe Biden has once again refused to assert executive privilege over more documents that former President Donald Trump has sought to keep out of the hands of the committee investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol. According to a letter obtained by CNN, White House counsel Dana Remus informed National Archivist David Ferriero on Monday that Biden would not assert privilege over additional materials that Trump requested remain secret as a matter of executive privilege.

As predictably as the arrival of the seasons, San Francisco decided to jump into the debate over North Carolina’s new privacy law less than 48 hours after it was signed. Rather than commenting on it or criticizing the message, the city elders decided to punish North Carolina by banning any official government travel to the state except in cases where it can’t be avoided.

Not too long ago I wrote an article on whether any criticism of the pope is allowed or not. I really think that we need to go to the basics on papal infallibility which in my opinion is something that many Catholics and non Catholics are confused about. Many people in other words are not well catechized when it comes to a proper understanding of papal infallibility and that makes it difficult when a pope might say or do something rather strange to a Catholic. I think a good place to start is with Pope John Paul II. Blessed Pope...

Every day it gets harder and harder to use FreeRepublic. For some reason the site is suffering from unspecified "server" problems that are rarely explained in a way that longstanding members such as myself can even find. The only reason I know there is a server problem is because someone finally posted a comment from FR Staff over on the Alternate Free Republic site; a place I find myself turning to more and more frequently while waiting for the latest daily problem to be resolved. To say this is merely frustrating is the understatement of the year. I grant you...

A South Garland High School teacher and student were caught in a compromising position in a car that put the teacher behind bars Wednesday. Lindsey Holt, 23, faces two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 after police said they found her and the student in a car parked in a Garland park. The teacher was released from the Garland Detention Center on a $5,000 bond. Police charged Holt with having an improper relationship with a student, which according to state law involves sexual contact. However, police have not charged her with sexual assault because...
