This ad is clearly aimed at all the Dylan Mulvaney Republicans.

I’m giving some thought that this ad is a big, joking parody of political ads.

Dylan Mulvaney him/herself is a joke. A mocking joke aimed at straight men with a sex drive that is too easily triggered, gay men with a Audrey Hepburn fixation, drag queens who have no trace of the feminine in their look, critics who don’t have a sense of humor and pretty much everybody else who doesn’t look down on the world the way he/she does.

This ad is a mocking joke. If there is a victim, it is whoever paid for it.

“Bud Light” in politics.

I saw a post from someone who didn't care for the moderator. I have questions. Are you male? That's Danica Patrick out there. Are you from Nascar country? That's Danica Patrick out there. There is a huge portion of America who knows what her presence means to the generation who saw her drive and drooled over her looks. Vance is newcomer to the redneck world. She is the real deal.

I am so with you on the DeSantis “right where he is” point.

Vance has a little bit better look of vulnerability and empathy. Trump doesn’t have that, and Vance’s look benefits the ticket with an appearance of balance. Trump has the toughness, Vance helps with Trump’s harsh look.

I don’t want balance or vulnerability-—now or later. Right now I want a tough, hard hitting fighter who can take punch. We’ll see about later elections in time, but I can see a really great DeSantis/Vance primary.

I watched a little CNN after the debate- curiosity you know.

The Harris/Knucklehead ticket does not seem like a problem to them.

Knucklehead managed to mention January 6th at the end of the debate, and CNN appears confident that nobody cares about the economy, immigration, or crime as long as somebody, anybody will repeat their favorite talking point.

Incidentally, that is probably a good piece of political science wisdom. “Don’t fall in love with one talking point. Somebody like Vance will broaden the discussion and cut you to ribbons while you are just repeating yourself.”

I’m with you on this.

I respect Gutfeld and his crew for making a “free speech in comedy” statement every night, but I don’t really enjoy the grossness and transgressive sexual references.

He and his crew are genuinely funny sometimes also, I think.

All that said, Gutfeld is never going to be my hero, but the show turned out to be a perfect venue for a charming hour with Donald Trump.

Definitely worth an hour if you haven’t seen it.

Just to make a point from the business world...

With no surplus, unexpected but necessary expenditures require “emergency” funding.

Emergency funding is the thin end of the wedge that has led our federal account books into a morass of off-the-book and hidden categories of expenditure.

The correct and praiseworthy route is tax relief coupled with surplus.

This is especially important in an environment of heavy inflation.

The core of the problem in Britain is that the establishment feels that an individual who feels that immigration is a threat, or believes that they will experience a loss of value because of immigration is “hateful.”

In this view, proper Britons should be mindful of the rights of others with no thought to their own well-being.

Since threats are sometimes real, and losses of value are constantly real, of course, any population will have concern for their own well-being.

Saying so, is, by this view, “hateful.”

This conflict will be hard mend, if it ever can be.

I hope some readers will share my feeling that it is time for prayer.

I’m sure the Biden/Harris Appeasement Team is right there with them.

I think maybe it has occurred to the White House that ignoring Netanyahu for a Sorority Dance may not send the right message about readiness for international diplomacy.

Talking to a friend, I had an odd historical thought.

Maybe Biden thinks he is being true to his duty under the Constitution.

America has a way of replacing its Chief Executive. We have regular elections. Biden might feel that he has the duty to hold on, turn the job over at the official time, and and that he has a duty not to yield to an intra-party coup that would damage the Presidency forever.

Mostly I tend to see all this as an ugly tussle about ego and power, but I wanted to get this other thought out of my head.

I’ve got to ask...

Are we sure, here on Free Republic, that we are not seeing the first performance of a newly discovered Shakespeare play. The characters and the plot line seem so familiar.

Let’s see if we can get Vance, Youngkin, Trump insiders, whoever, out to Bristol Roanoke, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Midlothian, Chesapeake, Hampton, and Virginia Beach.

Both parties have been weak, under-supported, confused and depressed in this state.

I generaly phrase your question a little diffrently.

Does a President/Party Nominee have to resign as President in order to withdraw as Nominee?

It seems like he does.

If he doesn’t, don’t the party rules require (or at least strongly pressure) delegates to honor their roles in the party?

If the President resigns, then the Vice-President would seem to step into both roles.

If the party convention starts with the Vice-President elevated to the Presidency, isn’t there a certain floor fight between Democrate factions?

With only weeks between floor fight and the start of mail-in voting, aren’t the Democrats just better off sucking it up and sticking with their Primary-winning Nominee?

Your question is about complying with laws that were designed for this very situation. State laws and Party Rules are all set up to prevent an intra-party coup.

My feeling is that the Convention was the best ever, but that Trump himself kind of had a bad night.

Of course, Trump having an off night is so much better than what we have been getting for the last 40 years that there is no comparison to any possible rival.

I don’t want to get too cocky, but Trump looks like he has things under control.

But... But...

Don’t all of us true-blue supporters of the democracy want Biden to stay on the ticket, keeping faith with the millions of voters who gave him the delegates, selecting him to be the Democrat Nominee for President of the United States?

Yessir... Joe has to stick to his guns for the sake of Democracy in America.

The fact that Biden is out of it; the fact that his intra-party adversaries are a bunch of back-room manipulators desperate to stay in power; the fact that his family is a pack of influence-peddling racketeers; these details don’t matter.

Stick to your guns, Joe. You are making a noble sacrifice to honor and Democracy by taking your defeat and humiliation with as much dignity as you can preserve.

News about joe Scarborough isn’t really news. It’s navel-gazing by media who have lost the thread of current events.

I guess you could take this piece as a kind of indication that Democrat big-wigs and media potentates are getting their act together to try to regain control of the country.

Agreeing to put pressure on Biden is such a small step that it hardly even qualifies as news, even from that perspective.
