Trump and July
Fun Facts and Trivia
July named after Julius Caesar
First Fourth July Celebration in 1776 in Philadelphia
The Fourth of July became a federal holiday in 1870, and a paid holiday for federal employees in 1938
Bristol, Rhode Island, is home to the oldest Independence Day celebration parade, dating back to
July 1st is Canada Day, celebrating the creation of the Dominion of Canada in 1867.
Only Two Founding Fathers Signed on July 4. While 56 men eventually signed the Declaration, only John Hancock and Charles Thomson added their names on July 4. Most signers came later, in August. That iconic image of everyone gathered to sign on the same day? Pure artistic license.
Three Presidents Died on July 4. It’s a remarkable coincidence: Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and James Monroe all passed away on the Fourth of July. Jefferson and Adams, once political rivals, died within hours of each other in 1826 – 50 years to the day after independence.
The First Fireworks Show Was in 1777. Philadelphia marked the first anniversary of independence with fireworks, bonfires, and cannon fire on July 4, 1777. The bright lights and booms became so popular that they’ve remained part of the tradition. Today, they’re a must-have for any HOA community event.
The Declaration of Independence Has a Typo. Even America’s founding documents aren’t perfect. The word “British” was initially written as “Brittish” in the Declaration. The error remains visible today, a small human touch on an iconic piece of history.
Yankee Doodle” Was a British Insult. “Yankee Doodle” started as a British song mocking colonial soldiers. Americans later adopted it with pride. Now, it’s a cheerful tune heard during many July 4 parades.
George Washington Gave His Soldiers Extra Rum. On July 4, 1778, Washington ordered double rations of rum for his troops. It was a simple way to boost morale and mark the occasion. One could argue it was the first official “4th of July party.
The birthstones for July is ruby The official flower is delphinium or water lily

Based on the search results, it's widely believed that Donald Trump's favorite color is gold.
This belief stems from several observations, including:
* The prominent use of gold in the decor of his residences, like his Trump Tower penthouse.
* His preference for gold as a symbol of prestige, wealth, and power, as evidenced by his "golden share" of U.S. Steel and the "Trump Gold Card".
* His choice to announce his first presidential run from a golden escalator.
Some sources also mention that he enjoys "happy colors" like yellow and pink. There are also references to him liking red and pink, as he only eats the red and pink Starburst candies.
However, the dominant impression is that gold is his preferred color, strongly associated with his public persona and brand.

The closest I’ve come to that is jumping in a cold Colorado lake during the summer. I can only imagine how much colder it would be in Canada!

I lived in Northeast Ohio for several decades (plus) taking care of my mom. Every January 1 in Cleveland at Lake Erie at the ninth Street pier was the Polar Plunge.. that’s the name I recall . Various locales do a similar event and have different names.
I did it once.
I was probably in my early 50s then and was very definitely the oldest person there. Lots of 20s and teens a couple with children who with their spouse would take turns the other watching the kids as
I recall they did have an age limit. I think it was 13 or 14 and you had to have a parent present . A couple hundred participated
For those not familiar with Cleveland ninth Street pier -this is all within walking distance of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame , Coast Guard station, science Museum the Brown stadium , lots of good stuff. I’m glad I did it. I mean the plunge. But once was really enough for me.
Every time I see the movie Titanic I think of how shocking and cold it was
