Russia's Birth Rates Predicted To Hit Record Low
Newsweek ^ | Apr 14, 2025 | Isabel van Brugen

Russia's birth rate has fallen to a historic low, reaching levels not seen since the late 18th to early 19th century, according to a leading Russian demographer.

Why It Matters

Russia for decades has been experiencing a plunging birth rate and population decline, and this appears to have worsened amid the ongoing invasion of Ukraine, with high casualty rates and men fleeing the country to avoid being conscripted to fight.

It is estimated that Russia's population will fall to about 132 million in the next two decades. The United Nations has predicted that in a worst-case scenario, by the start of the next century, Russia's population could almost halve to 83 million, Newsweek previously reported.

“Russia’s Birth Rates Predicted To Hit Record Low”

Thankfully, we’re FLOODED with baby-factory immigrants (all kinds), so we won’t have that problem. Of course, no longer having an American culture isn’t so great either, so I guess it’s a trade-off.

They could import a bunch of Venezuelan criminals from their buddy Maduro, and send them to the front lines. The problem is, Sleepy Joe Bribem and Klamydia Harris already let them into the USA.

Russia today could have had a population of 250 to 300 million if it had avoided those catastrophic events across the 20th century. That would’ve made it one of the most populous countries in the world, potentially rivaling the U.S.

Well, nature abhors a vacuum. There are neighboring countries with plenty of people, who are looking at all that empty land....

Nations with “plenty of people”? Near Russia? Eyeing all that empty land?

What nations are those? Russia’s neighbors are in decline as well.

Maybe Sub-Saharan Africa could start some sort Immigrant stream through Scandinavia— kind of like Central Americans migrating through Mexico.

More worried about our own birth rates. And our large numbers of illegimate kids and aborted babies.

Nice going, Vlad! Dumbass ruined his country.

Russian birth rates are low. And they're as bad as Britain, France, Germany, and Turkey.

At least they're not at Italy, Finland, and Spain levels.

And nobody in Europe is worse than your beloved Ukraine.

What is being ignored is Russia has a very high suicide rate. The highest of any country near it’s size. The only larger countries in that neighborhood are South Korea and South Africa, which are less than half the population of Russia. (The highest European country that wasn’t part of the Soviet Orbit is Belgium at 35, at about 67% of Russia.)

“What is being ignored is Russia has a very high suicide rate. The highest of any country near it’s size.”

What else is being ignored is that the US has the HIGHEST death rate due to illicit drugs in the world (32.4 per 100,000 versus Russia’s roughly 5.0), more than offsetting Russia’s suicide rate differential by a VERY LARGE margin.

This thread was supposedly.

But, while you are at it, why do you hate the United States so much?

“But, while you are at it, why do you hate the United States so much?”

A better question is why people are so hung-up about Russia, rather than dealing with MUCH WORSE problems at home? Perhaps USAID, or its successor?
