Republicans are jumping in quickly to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers, who announced Friday he’ll be leaving Congress at the end of the year to be a talk radio host. Mike Bishop, former majority leader in the Michigan Senate, confirmed Monday he’ll be in the running. And Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan K. Barnett has set up a page on the social media site Facebook to push his own candidacy.
