"That was a serious error on our part and we have made changes to try to prevent that type of error from occurring again," said TxDOT Spokesman Chris Lippincott, adding that the amount added twice in their financial statement was unrelated to the $1.2 billion in federal rescissions, which are...

Ladies and Gentleman, Michael Parks gave this same presentation to Judge Shifflet at commisoners court on November 14, 2007 to a room full of concerned residents including myself, most of whom, were and still are opposed to this corridor for more than one reason. Throughout the meeting, Mr. Parks stated that Brazos County was in favor of it, and were welcoming it, while the majority of Grimes County residents were telling him Brazos County could have it. Mr. Parks and Brazos county welcomed it allright, right through the middle of our Dear and beautiful county, (no where near Brazos County)...

Deep in the heart of Texas a helluva good House race By CRAGG HINES Copyright 2004 Houston Chronicle COLLEGE STATION — At last we come to the final act of Tom DeLay's passion play — his long-planned martyrdom, by redistricting, for a handful of U.S. House Democrats from Texas. They have defied him, so now they must prepare to meet their fate. It's the Alamo, with DeLay as Santa Anna. And so to Aggieland, at the southern end of the newly drawn 17th District, where Rep. Chet Edwards, D-Waco, a moderate seven-term Democrat, is fighting for his political life against...
