Last, the law enforcement executives engaged in this project agreed that it is essential, in order to address gun violence at the national level, to put in place a federal firearms trafficking and straw purchasing law – neither of which exist today – and comprehensive and universal background checks, which most Americans support

JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri became the latest state to allow residents to carry a concealed weapon without a permit when lawmakers supported the change Wednesday. Tense debate during the legislature's annual veto override session encompassed themes of race and class as lawmakers clashed over whether to override Gov. Jay Nixon's veto of Senate Bill 656. In the days leading up to the session the debate drew national attention, with organizations on both sides of the issues working to influence lawmakers. Another controversial part of the bill is its "stand your ground" provision, which will allow residents to use deadly force...

We live here side...

First we were told they were looking for a white guy in his forties. Get it? Looking for another angry white guy. Then it was an angry white guy who acted alone … who was deranged, like maybe a tea party guy who didn’t like health care. Bloomberg looks like an idiot. From last night’s CBS Evening News.

Twenty-five years after registering to vote, I finally got polled by a national news group. And, as usual, Rush was right. However, there are a few things which I want to share. 1. The interviewer really wanted to talk to me. I was on another call and told them to call me back in 10 minutes. They did, indicating to me that they are having difficulty reaching people who wish to talk to them. 2. The questions were phrased in a very subtle way that focused on an anti-Bush agenda. For example, "Do you think that Bush is responsible for...
