U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth warned Moscow on Wednesday that the United States and its allies would "impose costs on Russia for its continued aggression" if the war in Ukraine does not come to an end. "If we must take this step, the U.S. War Department stands ready to do our part in ways that only the United States can do," Hegseth said at a meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group of Kyiv's allies at NATO headquarters. Speaking as a guest in a debate on Russian state TV, Konstantin Sivkov, who is a military expert, says war with NATO might begin as soon as the spring of 2023 and according to him Russia must start preparations. Israel would not give permission to Germany to transfer Spike anti-tank missiles to Ukraine, to which he was refused and informed that Israel would supply Ukraine with only non-lethal military equipment. Israel is concerned that Russian soldiers will be killed by Israeli-made weapons, which could lead to Russia harming Israeli security interests in Syria where it has enormous influence.
