Biden on Larry King says he likes Palin and she has appeal but "I don't know that it represents anything approaching a significant portion of the population"...This coming from a guy who came in 5th in his run for President...

Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. appeared to incorrectly outline the constitutional role of the job he's seeking in Thursday's debate. In attacking Vice President Dick Cheney, Mr. Biden said the vice president's only role is to support the president and to preside over the Senate "only in a time when in fact there's a tie vote. The Constitution is explicit." The Constitution, though, actually says the vice president is always president of the Senate and legal scholars say he has the right to preside at any time. Early vice presidents, such as Thomas Jefferson, actively exercised...

Biden had a lot of facts wrong, starting with his Constitutional citation (didn't he learn anything while bullying all those Supreme Court nominees?). He didn't tell the truth when he said Obama never offered to sit down unconditionally with Ahmadinejad, he fibbed about the clean coal line, and Palin, not Biden had the gist of Gen. McKiernan's comments on Afghanistan. But those weren't the real problem. The real issue is that Joe Biden talked, acted, and performed like a guy who has been a senator for 36 years. Palin didn't. And right now Americans hate just about everyone in Washington.

Thursday’s Vice Presidential debate was a winner for the Republican ticket. Depending on your barometer, Governor Sarah Palin may or may not have hit a home run tonight – I say she smacked a two-run triple into the gap – but she unquestionably came up huge, foiling (and probably disappointing) her tongue-watering critics, standing her ground admirably, going toe-to-toe with the time-worn, grizzled sigh-master, Senator Joe Biden. It wasn’t a performance for the ages in the classic sense, but it was one of the most personable and likeable performances I have ever seen in a debate – and it will...
