I have often wondered what preferences of beverages the various Freepers have, in particular, the kind of intoxicating liquors they tried to ban back in 1920. I know by reading stories on here that many of us consume intoxicating liquors from time to time and we may even have some Freepers who have accumulated some POIs over the years (posting under the influence). Obviously, don't post your favorite intoxicating liquor if you do not want to, but I just thought it would be interesting to see our beverage choices. Health Minister Jesus Mantilla said the zero-calorie Coke Zero should no longer be sold and stocks of the drink removed from store shelves. "The product should be withdrawn from circulation to preserve the health of Venezuelans," the minister said in comments reported by the government's news agency. Despite Chavez's anti-capitalist policies and rhetoric...

Last year the Dry Soda brand of very lightly sweetened fizzy drinks came out with a new flavor, "juniper berry," which it advertised as "the perfect 'non-alcoholic gin and tonic.'" Juniper, of course, is the distinctive, piney flavoring that distinguishes gin. And so might a juniper soda appeal to gin lovers? The definitive response came from drinks blogger Camper English: "The problem with non-alcoholic drinks is their complete lack of alcohol," he wrote at his site, Alcademics.com. "To me, this product sounds like it will pair magnificently with leftover vodka to make a gin-free G&T." In other words, what's the...
