There have always been those who respond to war throughout the church differently. - Pacifists- Those who believe in Just War Theory - Others who believe in the “Blank Check” model—without questioning War is complicated, ugly, and addictive. It reveals our sinfulness in a way that few controversies can. God was bold enough to send his son to die in order to save us, not by storming the Temple with swords and shields, not by overthrowing the Roman Empire, but with a slow and non-violent march to the top of a hill with a cross on his back.

A bankruptcy judge gave Rudy Giuliani the green light to seek a new trial to challenge the $148 million defamation verdict won by two Georgia election workers after Rudy got railroaded by an Obama judge and was unable to present any evidence at trial. The Bush administration today projected that the budget deficit for FY09 would be $482 billion, more than the record $413 billion deficit recorded for FY04. The figure includes the $151 billion economic stimulus package enacted in February and would total 3.3 percent of gross domestic product. That compares with 3.6 percent in FY04. For FY08, the projected deficit is $389 billion, 2.7 percent of GDP.
