I just want to lay out a few thoughts about the new Battlestar Galactica. I, like many sci-fi fans, have excitedly awaited the release of the new series. Here we are 5-6 episodes into the release and some items really bother me. I am not easily offended but I have stayed silent long enough. I am interested in input from other people that like the Battlestar series. I am interested to see if some of the observations that I make are legit or just hyper sensitive. Keep in mind I have sat through 5 episodes so that I have a...

“Battlestar Galactica” actress and Nxivm devotee Nicki Clyne — the wife of former “Smallville” star Allison Mack — defended the upstate cult Tuesday, saying she wouldn’t trade her experiences in it “for anything.” “It’s very unfortunate the way that the word ‘Nxivm’ has been applied and is now synonymous with the term ‘sexual cult,’ which I don’t even know how to define what that is,” Clyne told CBS’ “This Morning” alongside four other Nxivm members. SNIP Federal prosecutors claimed in 2018 that Mack and Clyne were wed “at the behest of … Keith Raniere” but the two haven’t spoken for...

Bryan Singer's Battlestar Galactica has taken one step closer to becoming a reality! Hollywood vet John Orloff has been signed to pen the long-in-development (and we do mean long) film adaptation, and he's psyched. Universal Pictures has hired Orloff to write the revamped screenplay for an adaptation of the 1978 TV space opera, in a move that confirms rumors that the reboot will be moving forward. After plans for Singer's film Excalibur hit the skids, the director decided to spend more time developing his vision for Battlestar. It's no secret that Singer is a huge fan of the property, but...

The shooter is now here in Norway now. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002651290254 That's his facebook page. He is a conservative sci-fi fan.Battle Star Galactica and Stargate. He likes hunting. Hence why he has at least two legally owned guns. It is not hard to get a gun in Norway. We have gun ownership rates close to the US and Switzerland. Personally I am starting to think we need more damn gun control. For Norway that is, not the US. I a currently reading through posts he has made at various political forums. He would fit in here at free republic. I agree with...

What a stupid disappointment. They finally get to Earth at approx. 200,000 BC, around the time earliest Homo ancestor is appearing. And what do they do? They abandon all their technology and books and arts and theology and everything that they are and go -- wait for it -- Back to Nature, so they can die of the common cold or an infected finger if they don't burn or freeze to death first while being eaten by wild dogs. What crap! They should have called it Battlegreen Galactica . I kept waiting for a lecture from Adama on global warming....

Once upon a time, in what used to be a far away land called Hollywood (but is now a state of mind and everywhere), a young actor was handed a script and asked to bring to life a character called Starbuck. I am that actor. The script was called “Battlestar Galactica.”

Major plot points from Battlestar Galactica were also front page headlines over the past few years: terrorism, secret tribunals, prisoner abuse, war. Will the show continue to feel relevant with Obama running America? With only a few episodes left in the series, BSG is about to disappear from the airwaves. The question is whether it will stand the test of time as the world changes. We've got three reasons why Battlestar might remain relevant in years ahead, and three reasons why it might be headed for the ashcan of history. Why it's still relevant: Stirring portrait of multicultural, gender-equal leadership....

I am that actor. The script was called “Battlestar Galactica.” Fortunately, I was young, my imagination fertile and adrenal glands strong, because bringing Starbuck to life was over the dead imaginations of a lot of Network Executives... Witness the “re-imagined” “Battlestar Galactica,” bleak, miserable, despairing, angry and confused. Which is to say, it reflects in microcosm the complete change...

The Two-Hour Event The special two-hour episode "Razor", which will serve as a backdrop for the events of season four of Battlestar Galactica, tells the story of Lee Adama's first mission as the commander of the battlestar Pegasus — and the harrowing tale of that ship's desperate fight for survival in the immediate aftermath of the Cylon's genocidal siege of the Twelve Colonies. Lee Adama's new XO, Major Kendra Shaw, is plagued by memories of her service and sacrifices under Admiral Helena Cain, who was able to save her ship during the Cylon attack — but only by making Shaw...

THE best show on television about Iraq takes place hundreds of light years away, with starships, alien worlds and robots that look like humans. It's "Battlestar Galactica," which has managed through science fiction to do what no other drama does - provide a primetime allegory for terrorism, occupation and religious conflict. In the opening episodes of the show's third season, the last survivors of humanity revolt against the Cylons, robots that hope to "tame" the polytheistic homo sapiens by teaching them about a one true God. The occupation turns ugly, people are tortured, and in the end, humans turn to...

Freepers please help. This is one of my first posts. I am sorry if I don't do this right! I just watched Battlestar Galactica tonight. I was just sickened by the program tonight where the resistance fighters were wearing suicide belts, blowing themselves up to fight the "evil silons". This is blatant "moral equivalance" situation where Sci Fi viewers were subjected to the "war on terror" equivalance of the "war on Silons" where they try to equate the terrorists to fictional characters on Sci. If this continues, I will not watch Sci Fi channel anymore. Freepers please help ssend a...
