That link doesn’t work, some sort of site error, I encountered it last week too. It goes to a Eureka promo.

The page that has the 7 mini flashbacks is below. The sky diving fire fight, and the two to follow are just spectacular. I love young Adama bashing the old cylon’s head in with the pipe.

Who do you think is the last Cylon? I’m convinced, it must be Baltar. The Nuke explosion in his house with 6, no way a mortal could have survived that. Baltar is actually the best character/acting on the show. The story of him, 6, 3, is so intriguing, and erotic, without being over the top either. His mental struggle epitomizes the entire struggle of man, machine, conscience.

Thanks for the ping!

I am totally sold on Heroes, watched it religiously last year, and my daughter and I are still hooked. I tried to watch Journeyman and the first episode totally turned me off. I dl’d Reaper’s first three episodes, laughed my arse off at the first one and didn’t find the next two nearly as good.

My wife and I like Bionic Woman, cool special effects. Very Alias-y.

It turns out, the writers kept it all a secret from the cast. The 5 revealed didn’t know, and some of them took it pretty hard actaully.

Tigh, say it ain’t so! He was very cylonphobic, too much so...

No doubt they find earth at the end. I’ll bet it is not modern day Earth though, it will be somewhere in the past, maybe in the age of pre-mythology? Since many names are greek gods?

About when they will be finding Earth, that is something I have been thinking about. And I have a theory, and if aint correct, maybe they should consider it.

But first, one thing bothers me about the new shows, even though I have only seen the movie from the earlier shows. There it was obvious the link between the ancient Egyptian culture, and the Colonies culture. And that maked sense in a way, as the ancient Egyptian culture has allways been mysterious, how it came to be, and how old it is and such.

But the current show roots the culture in the old Greek culture, wich is far yonger, has plenty of written records and such, there were other empires at the time and so on, so it is harder to see that culture as a result from colonisation from Space. But as they had the first democratic elements it could be a hint to that my theory is correct:

My theory is that when the Colonisation fleet finds Earth (after having succesfully been completely lost by the Cyklons) they find out to their horror that Earth will be no help in the fight against the Cyklons, because it is in pre modern time. Earthlings are few, poor, uneducated and despotic. So they set out to introduce their values, and economical and political system plus technology (although gradually) to its inhapitants.

So they start infiltrading our countries, but realise they wont be able to assert much influence on the preexisting countries and their “stuck in their ways” governments, so eventually they steer matters in a way, that they can choose a sparsely populated land, with great resources (not difficult for them to see them with their space technology from afar) for themselves, where they can shape matters from the beginning with their own ideas, systems of governance and economics.

A land that is not far from the culture that is closest to their own (or what they have influenced the most) to be able to accept immigrants from that area, although discreetly shape political developments in their new land wich eventually could be the cataclyst for changing the rest of the world and preparing them for the eventual War with the Cyklons.

A land that will become rich, powerful, populous, militaristic, but democratic, capitalistic and technologically advanced (where they can introduce their technology little by little), even though when they arrive, maybe in the 16. to 18. century, it hasn´t developed much for milleniums.

So the Colonisatin fleet sets out to create The United States of America while hiding the Fleet behind Neptunus and little by little training the inhabitants to live among the Earthlings, mix with the early immigrants from Europe and lead the newfound nation.

Maybe even the show is intended to prepare us for the eventual truth to be revealed ;)

I like it. And allows for some future generation to continue the show to boot. I suspect they do want to “end” this show, but leave the door open for future ideas. Amazing that the old generation of BSG was a poor replica of Star Wars, but the new show is what Star Wars could have been. I for one, am so happy that unlike Star Wars, or the Star Trek offshoots, it is not taken over by the whole Muppet thing, stupid costumes, etc...
