  • Nashville school shooter hid guns in parents' house

    03/28/2023 9:27:42 PM PDT · by BenLurkin · 38 replies
Investigators say the suspect's parents felt the 28-year-old should not own weapons, and did not realise the guns had been concealed in their house. Six people, including three children age nine, were killed in the attack at the Covenant School. The suspect was under "doctor's care for an emotional disorder", police say. Tennessee has no laws that allow police to seize guns from violent suspects. Despite the absence of such so-called red-flag laws, police said they would still have sought to have the weapons confiscated if authorities had had any warning that the suspect could have posed a threat.
  • Stop Lying: Watch How the Nashville School Killer Case Destroys Left's Myth About Guns

No sooner had word emerged that a Nashville Christian school had been attacked by a mass shooter on Monday than the Left began dissembling about guns again. The shift from “thoughts and prayers” to “grab the guns from law-abiding gun owners!” occurred at hypersonic speed. And it was all wrong. To save time, here’s a simple request by people who believe in the right to bear arms, which is explicitly guaranteed in the United States Constitution and is a God-given right. Stop lying. Try. It’s not that hard, and someone’s life depends on it. First, let’s acknowledge that gender dysphoria...
  • Why you may have a tough time finding a cabin when cruising in North America resumes

Eager to be aboard one of the very first cruises when cruising resumes in North America? You’ll be lucky if you get a cabin. When cruise lines initially restart operations out of U.S. ports, presumably later this year, they are likely to only restart with a few ships, each operating at only partial capacity, executives at all the major cruise lines have said. That’ll create a squeeze on the number of available cabins that could make it hard for would-be cruisers to find space. Indeed, the squeeze could be so sharp that some people who currently have bookings on ships...
  • My Turn: Gun Rights: Compromise is nothing but theft of a right

I think you need a little history lesson. In your editorial, "Common sense must prevail....", you use the phrase "Irresponsible gun availability," as if guns are just so much more available, as compared to the past etc. Did you know that prior to 1968, guns were advertised in the back of comic books, and various magazine, and sold in every hardware store and many department stores, and could be purchased by anybody, of any age, all you needed was money and a postage stamp, and a gun would be delivered to your door by the postman. Licensed gun dealers didn't...
  • More People Pulling Out Guns: Guns Don’t Solve Disputes, Detective Says (might help keep you alive?)

Using a gun to resolve an argument is a good way to kill, be killed, or end up in prison. Though no shots were fired and no one was hurt, the Dunn man who threatened a restaurant manager with a gun could face a quarter century or more in prison if he is prosecuted by the federal government as anticipated, said Dunn Police Det. Anthony Poppler. Major Alexander Newkirk III, 19, of 51 Saturn Drive, Dunn, is in the Harnett County Jail after being arrested Monday on charges of communicating threats, assault by pointing a gun and possession of a...
  • [Intel] Itanic 2 sets sail without suppliers

No systems spotted on the horizon By Paul Hales: Tuesday 09 July 2002, 12:58 INTEL YESTERDAY TRUMPETED the launch of its new high-end server ship (Oops...) and said that a whole gang of systems makers were lining up to build nice, robust server boxes based on the fantastic new Itanium 2. So where are they? Well, apart from the "New HP", which has embraced the announcement whole-heartedly and even produced a cheesy little a cartoon here on its corporate propaganda pages, (we don't recommend it) to herald the new age of IT2, other "partners" have been conspicuously quiet amidst the...
