DALLAS — After 60 years of Republican domination in southern states, a new coalition of Democrats is eager to end GOP control in the South. This “New Southern Strategy" was organized by the Texas House Democratic Caucus Chair Gene Wu, D-Houston. His idea is to bring together Democratic legislative leaders from Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas and other southern states.
