President Biden fired Architect of the Capitol Brett Blanton on Monday, a White House official told The Hill, following outrage over an inspector general report that found Blanton misused a government vehicle and allegedly impersonated a law enforcement officer. “After doing our due diligence, the Architect of Capitol was terminated at the President’s direction,” the official said. The president’s move comes just hours after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) called for Blanton to step down or be removed by Biden. House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil (R-Wis.) and ranking member Joseph Morelle (D-N.Y.) had also called for the resignation of...

Karl Rove’s new “Conservative Victory Project” is nothing but an anti-Tea Party hit team that is gunning for our candidates. So, grassroots conservatives must now all band together and fight back. We must defend the Tea Party! .....We formed this brand new PAC to help Tea Party candidates challenge entrenched big-government Republicans for the nomination. But, in light of recent events, we need to also be ready to defend our conservative incumbents as well. The establishment is gunning for us. They want to crush our movement. We have to fight back! Just last month a former top GOP aide in...

Officials said Steve Bannon was the “architect” of a scheme to defraud donors who gave money to build a wall on the United States-Mexico border. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said at a press conference on Thursday that Bannon and the organization We Build the Wall, Inc., were indicted for a yearlong fundraising scheme that took in more than $15 million from thousands of people across the country based on false pretenses.

Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Friday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that the House Select Committee investigating January 6, 2021 will show former President Donald Trump is the instigator, author and architect of a coup. Schiff said, “We continue to learn more and more in the Eastman case, for example, and this was the subject of a FOIA request, so I can comment on it. There are records showing that Eastman was giving a blueprint to a Pennsylvania lawmakers about how to fudge the results and how to defraud the people of Pennsylvania. The explicit nature of that corrupt activity is so...

Fox News contributor Karl Rove warned Democrats on "America's Newsroom" Tuesday their bid to pass a $3.5 trillion spending plan could backfire with voters at the polls like in the 2010 midterm elections that followed the passage of the 2009 stimulus bill and Affordable Care Act.

Helmut Jahn, the famed German architect who designed the James R. Thompson Center and other iconic buildings, died Saturday afternoon when he was struck by two vehicles while riding his bicycle in suburban Campton Hills. Jahn, who lived in nearby St. Charles, was riding his bike north on Old Lafox Road near Burlington Road about 3:30 p.m. when he failed to brake at a stop sign, according to a news release from Campton Hills police. Two vehicles traveling in opposite directions on Burlington then struck the 81-year-old. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of one...

Three decades ago, a mysterious and terrifying plague began to take the lives of people across the world. Before this malady even had a name, it had a fierce opponent in Dr. Anthony Fauci. As the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for more than 23 years, Tony Fauci has led the fight against HIV and AIDS. He was also a leading architect and champion of the Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, which over the past five years has reached millions of people -- preventing HIV infections in infants and easing suffering and bringing dying communities...

It's a story that reads like a "Seinfeld" episode. The state attorney general has indicted a man for allegedly pretending to be an architect, an investigation Eric Schneiderman dubbed "Operation Vandelay Industries." Schneiderman says the man - whose name is, coincidentally, Paul Newman - allegedly drafted renderings for more than 100 buildings in three upstate New York counties. The state attorney general also accuses Newman of issuing false documents and falsely certifying on those documents that he was a licensed architect, when he was not. The name of the investigation was a reference to a fake company that George Costanza...

The economist often referred to as the architect of Obamacare called Donald Trump's healthcare policy incoherent on Monday, firing back at the GOP nominee for criticizing him during Sunday night's debate. "My only comment is that last night showed the difference between a candidate with a strong and coherent health care agenda [Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton] and one with a garbage salad of right-wing talking points," Jonathan Gruber said in the Boston Business Journal. Gruber is an economics professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who played a pivotal role in crafting the Affordable Care Act. He said several years...

Corruption: The White House's tale that the Benghazi terrorist attacks were caused by a video was long ago revealed as a lie. Still unclear was Hillary Clinton's role in fabricating the story. But that's clearing up now. On Sept. 16, 2012, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice went on five Sunday TV news shows to explain why a few days earlier attacks on U.S. State Department facilities in Benghazi, Libya, killed four Americans, including our ambassador. It was all just a demonstration provoked by an Internet video that got out of hand, Rice said. It was a cover-up,...

Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber said Tuesday that he regrets saying that aspects of Obamacare needed to be concealed from the public due to the “stupidity of the American voter.” “Do you stand by the comments in that video?,” MSNBC host Ronan Farrow asked Gruber, referring to a video of Gruber explaining how a lack of transparency helped Obamacare pass into law. “The comments in the video were made at an academic conference,” Gruber said. “I was speaking off the cuff and I basically spoke inappropriately and I regret having made those comments.” Farrow then argued on Gruber’s behalf that

Obamacare architect Zeke Emanuel claims in his new book that the health care reform law will result in “the end of employer-sponsored insurance.” Despite President Barack Obama’s claim that “if you like your plan, you can keep it” — a talking point developed in his first 100 days in office by a tiny but influential left-wing messaging group called the Herndon Alliance — his administration has long planned to disassemble the current U.S. insurance industry as well as alter health care reform. The Daily Caller reported last June that the Obama administration was making moves to squash self-funded insurance plans,...

Obamacare architect Ezekiel Emanuel, a former adviser to the Obama White House, admitted today that, if Democrats have their way, the individual insurance market is going away. “Insurance companies don’t want, insurance companies don’t want the individual market as it’s constructed. They see the future. That individual market is going away. They don’t want to invest in it.” That was their plan all along. Via FOX News Sunday:

Lebbeus Woods, the American architect, artist, and theorist, has died today at the age of 72. Woods may be best known for his radical re-imaginings and re-constructions of cities in crisis. While most of Woods’ politically-charged, fantastical sketches were too fantastical to be built, many have been displayed in Art Museums across the globe ...

A Hidden History of Evil Why doesn’t anyone care about the unread Soviet archives? In the world’s collective consciousness, the word “Nazi” is synonymous with evil. It is widely understood that the Nazis’ ideology—nationalism, anti-Semitism, the autarkic ethnic state, the Führer principle—led directly to the furnaces of Auschwitz. It is not nearly as well understood that Communism led just as inexorably, everywhere on the globe where it was applied, to starvation, torture, and slave-labor camps. Nor is it widely acknowledged that Communism was responsible for the deaths of some 150 million human beings during the twentieth century. The world remains...

Last night I watched Karl Rove drive the final nails into his political coffin, as he double-downed his attacks against Christine O’Donnell, on Greta Van Susteren’s show “On The Record.” It may be awhile before the “funeral” takes place, but the coffin is finished, no doubt. The night before I had watched as Rove began his public self-immolation, on The Sean Hannity Show. Hannity, to his credit, defended O’Donnell against Rove’s surprising (to me, at least) and graceless attack, after her win against Power Elite insider, Mike Castle, in the Delaware Republican primary. (Kudos to Sean Hannity for standing up...

Jesus was the son of a middle-class, highly educated architect, according to a new book, which claims the previous belief that Joseph worked as a carpenter has distorted the Bible's meaning. The book- The Jesus Discovery- claims that Jesus rose to become the most senior Rabbi of his time, thus explaining how he was able to exert such influence and why his teachings became such a concern to the authorities. Author Dr Adam Bradford, who works as a GP, drew his conclusions after studying and comparing the original Greek and Hebrew scriptures, as well as using human psychology to analyse...

The Architect as Totalitarian Le Corbusier’s baleful influence Le Corbusier was to architecture what Pol Pot was to social reform. In one sense, he had less excuse for his activities than Pol Pot: for unlike the Cambodian, he possessed great talent, even genius. Unfortunately, he turned his gifts to destructive ends, and it is no coincidence that he willingly served both Stalin and Vichy. Like Pol Pot, he wanted to start from Year Zero: before me, nothing; after me, everything. By their very presence, the raw-concrete-clad rectangular towers that obsessed him canceled out centuries of architecture. Hardly any town or...
