Rally in East Haven supports police department
EAST HAVEN, CT (WFSB) - Members of the East Haven community are hosting a rally Wednesday night to support their police department, which is under investigation after complaints of racial profiling against Latinos. The members are also asking for the mayor's support. On Wednesday, Mayor April Capone said she supports the department, but wants to see what the FBI finds after its investigation. A video taken in March 2009 led the controversy and an FBI investigation into the department. The video, taken by a priest inside a Latino-owned business, shows officers giving his Latino parishioners a hard time.
