Nokia Corp., the world's largest cellphone maker, unveiled its first handset with a built-in hard drive, taking aim at the market for iPods and other stand-alone digital-music players. Nokia, of Espoo, Finland, said the cellphone, earmarked to go on sale world-wide in the fourth quarter, will be able to store 3,000 songs and have a built-in Wi-Fi radio and camera. Dubbed the Nokia N91, the device will have a retail price of about €700, or about $908, before any subsidies by cellphone-service providers, Nokia officials said. The President spoke at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Convention at the Dr. Albert B. Sabin Cincinnati Cinergy Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. While in Ohio, he visited the museum to the Underground Highway. The President flew to Michigan where he appeared at a campaign rally in Traverse City, Michigan. After they met they held a joint Press Conference where they answered a few questions from the ever faithful negative press.President Bush also met with Saudi Officials at the White House who were requesting that the 28 pages of the 9/11 report that were classified and reported to be about Saudi Arabia's support of Terrorism and the terrorist who carried out the 9/11 attacks. Today, President Bush announced a proposal to expedite Senate confirmation of his judicial nominees. Of Bush's 131 nominees, the Senate has only voted on 80. The Judiciary Committee has rejected two nominees, Charles Pickering of Mississippi and Priscilla Owen of Texas. Of course, Patrick Leahy used the Democratic buzzword of this election year by stating the President was 'politicizing' the judicial selection process to create a partisan campaign issue. President Bush headed to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico today to join the prime ministers, presidents and representatives of the 21 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation nations during the APEC summit. Bush spoke to the media while he visited with Mexican President Vicente Fox, and reiterated that the US is prepared to strike Iraq on its own if the UN does not decide on a resolution. President Bush signed a $355 billion military spending bill in the White House Rose Garden this morning, which gives the Pentagon a nearly $40 billion boost as it prepares for possible war with Iraq. Bush also hosted a private forum on the sexual solicitation and exploitation of children over the Internet and urged the Senate to approve a bill banning computer simulations of child pornography. President Bush began the day with remarks bringing generic drugs to the market more swiftly by blocking pharmaceutical companies from filing multiple patent-protection lawsuits that can stall the cheaper products for years. Surrounded by visitors from Sudan, Bush signed a bill that formally condemns human rights violations, alleges the Sudanese government uses food as a weapon and directs the president to impose sanctions against Sudan if he determines its government isn't negotiating in good faith.
