Amman - A senior member of Iraq's al-Qaeda branch was killed recently in a U.S. crackdown on insurgents in the Iraqi town of Qaim near the Syrian border, a Jordanian newspaper reported Saturday. Khalid Suleiman Darwish, better known as Abu Alghadiya, was among those killed in the operation, the daily Alghad quoted "well- informed sources" as saying.
