Republican Glenn Youngkin's victory last week over former Virginia Democratic Gov.Terry McAuliffe has led most observers to predict that Republicans are sure to make big gains in next year's midterms. While I agree that the election gives Republicans cause for enthusiasm, I have learned during more than four decades in politics that overreach and assumptions represent a path to political failure. According to a USA Today/Suffolk poll released this week, President Joe Biden's approval rating is 38%, and Vice President Kamala Harris is at 28%. Of the top three things the respondents wanted Biden to do in the next year,...

More than three dozen Democrats are taking heat for voting against a House resolution sponsored by a fellow Democrat calling for solidarity with Cubans after historic anti-government protests in the summer led to a brutal crackdown by authorities. The 40 Democrats, mostly from the progressive caucus, voted "no" Wednesday to “expressing solidarity with Cuban citizens demonstrating peacefully for fundamental freedoms, condemning the Cuban regime’s acts of repression, and calling for the immediate release of arbitrarily detained Cuban citizens.”...

Shock poll: Three in 10 Jacksonville voters think Donald Trump won 2020 election The GOP won the Virginia Governor's race, and may win New Jersey. Gov. Ron DeSantis joined Fox and Friends Wednesday after what he described as a Republican wave in off-year gubernatorial elections in Virginia and potentially New Jersey. DeSantis, who likes to say he’s “standing in the way” of the Joe Biden administration, exulted as Tuesday night’s vote showed that message resonated even in states that were decidedly pro-Biden a year before, and that historically perform Democratic. He predicted a historic wave election next year. “And I...

Former Republican New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman and Miles Taylor, a former chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security who wrote the infamous “anonymous” New York Times 2018 hit piece criticizing former President Donald Trump’s leadership, bleated out an op-ed for the Times last week titled, unironically, “We Are Republicans. There’s Only One Way to Save Our Party From Pro-Trump Extremists.” That “one way,” Whitman and Taylor argue, is to ally with Democrats in 2022 to defeat Republicans they feel have become too aligned with Trump and “Trumpism,” or the populist message he espoused. “Rational Republicans are...

The Bush camp clearly despises Donald Trump. In his remarks at Shanksville, Pennsylvania on the 20th anniversary of 9/11, George W. Bush took thinly-veiled shots at Trump, alluding to him and his supporters as a "malign force." But there was nothing veiled about the shots that former George W. Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson, now a Washington Post columnist, took at Trump today. CNN's New Day gave Gerson a platform to expand on his recent column, unsubtly entitled, "The Trump nightmare looms again." Gerson ultimately made his pitch: in 2022, Republicans should vote Democrat. Nicolle Wallace has let the Democrats' cat out of the bag regarding the January 6 hearings. Somebody should have told Wallace that she wasn't supposed to admit that the 1/6 hearings are fundamentally about giving the Dems a platform for the 2022 midterm elections. But Wallace couldn't help herself. On her MSNBC show this afternoon, after admitting that "this is absolutely political," she said: "I think the security questions of the Republican party as a domestic-terror threat should be front and center for the Democrats in these midterm elections."Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

Most days, it’s hard to recognize our country anymore. Every day that passes since President Trump left office, Democrats in Washington, the mainstream media, and corporate elites chip away at our constitutional rights, systematically attempt to rewrite our history, and cancel anyone who doesn’t comply with their agenda. In many instances, career politicians and weak Republicans are to blame, kicking the can down the road and refusing to stand up and do something about it. I’m not your typical candidate. I’m a conservative businessman, political outsider, demolition expert and Pro-Trump patriot running for Congress in Georgia to wreck the left...

Imagine if a cadre of very clever and industrious thieves formed a grand conspiracy to rob some place, like say … Fort Knox. Then, when the time was right, they were finally able to pull it off in the dark of night and get away with all the gold … for a while. What would you as an American expect to happen if they were eventually caught? Should it matter if, by that time, they were already ensconced in mansions, dressing well, driving expensive cars, mingling with high society and otherwise enjoying the good life in every imaginable way? Would...

For Republicans to win back the majority in the House, Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said GOP candidates, whether they are incumbents or challengers, must spend time with voters in their communities and come up with solutions about their concerns. The House minority leader said spending time focusing on the latest outrage on social media or the daily spectacles coming out of Washington, D.C., won't get them anywhere. "The most important thing is to listen to people, because when you listen, you'll hear the concerns, and you'll be prepared to be able to find ways to solve them," said McCarthy in...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's place at the head of the mob intent on correcting the wrongs of past generations has been endangered. She has been waving the bloody shirt about past generations' complicity in racism, and now her role at the head of the mob is in question. It has been discovered that her father was mayor of Baltimore in the 1940s and 1950s, and now the woke brethren want her to denounce him. Baltimore in the 1940s and 1950s was deeply racist, Maryland being a border state during the Civil War. In fact, the train bearing President Abraham Lincoln...

The attempted coup against Trump as the leader of the Republican Party has failed, and the quest to purge his supporters has boomeranged against the elite. Many local GOP groups cast unanimous votes of censure against officials who betrayed Trump supporters and all Americans by misusing the impeachment proceedings against citizen Trump. The GOP has not seen this level of grassroots energy in decades.“The best laid schemes o’ Mice an' Men … lea’e us nought but grief an’ pain, For promised joy!” wrote the celebrated Scottish poet Robert Burns, coining a phrase that John Steinbeck later borrowed for the title of...

Until now, I had no idea how dumb the GOP really was. Man, is our party dumb. The people who run the GOP are so dumb they couldn't spell "win" if I were to spot them the W and the I. First, the presidential election was clearly rigged and stolen, and they just let it happen. Now the leaders of the GOP won't even admit it happened. They're afraid, like whiny little snowflakes, of offending liberal activists, Democratic voters, assorted socialists, government bureaucrats, RINOs (Republicans in Name Only), woke corporate CEOs, the mainstream media and the masters of social media...
