Ron DeSantis says Republican ‘wave’ is building in 2022, will be bigger than 2010

Shock poll: Three in 10 Jacksonville voters think Donald Trump won 2020 election

The GOP won the Virginia Governor's race, and may win New Jersey. Gov. Ron DeSantis joined Fox and Friends Wednesday after what he described as a Republican wave in off-year gubernatorial elections in Virginia and potentially New Jersey.

DeSantis, who likes to say he’s “standing in the way” of the Joe Biden administration, exulted as Tuesday night’s vote showed that message resonated even in states that were decidedly pro-Biden a year before, and that historically perform Democratic. He predicted a historic wave election next year.

“And I do think this wave is building. I think it was strong last night. But I think it’s going to keep building all the way into 2022,” DeSantis said on Fox and Friends.

“And if you go back to the 2010 wave that Republicans had, I think there’s more dissatisfaction with what’s going on now in D.C. today than there was this time in that election cycle. And that is good news for Republicans. And that is bad news for Joe Biden and his regime,” DeSantis added.

Republicans will need to govern. Actually pass laws and policy that help Americans.

New Jersey is showing us that the voter fraud machine still exists and can be used when necessary.

I predict that the left will lose the House in 2022, but retain control in the Senate.

They need the Senate to ensure nominations to key positions in the deep state and SCOTUS vacancies are approved.

They were OK losing Virginia for the next 4 years. They can use the fraud machine to take it back later.

Right now, they did not want to attract more attention to “rigged elections”. So they feed our side a victory and the push for ending vote-by-mail and other Covid-era laws subsides, keeping those in place where they can be used in 2022 and 2024.

Interesting take, McAuliffe could have been the sacrificial lamb.

Guess you can cheat in every single election and expect people not to notice. The media can only cover for them so much.

I believe we will sweep 2022... and that might be in a few seats in the Northeast...

Cook Political Report says the Virginia results imply Republicans gain 44 House seats, not including redistricting gains.

Republicans won’t be able to govern, the White House will still be some Democrat.

Interesting take, McAuliffe could have been the sacrificial lamb.

The DNC is in the middle of a civil war between the kleptocrats (Clinton, Schumer, Pelosi) and the communists (Sanders, AOC, Tlaib).

McAuliffe is a Clinton ally and cared more about self-enrichment instead of the agenda. The communists cannot allow this any longer. They only want those loyal to the agenda which is The Great Reset and the installation of global socialism and the eradication of capitalism

That made sacrificing McAuliffe easier to handle.

Inside the DNC, the communists are blaming the losses on not passing a more bold "Build Back Better" bill that spends $10 trillion. They blame the losses on being timid and cutting the agenda back, which is not alloowed.

I heard McCarthy say the same thing. It makes me cringe. If I was a strategist I’d suggest biting your tongue for several reasons. One is, you don’t need dems to get smart and suddenly start triangulating toward moderate policies and saving their own arses. More importantly, if you appear too glib about a few victories now, creating awareness and disdain in those suburban independendants who once had Trump-fatigue but who now have buyers remorse about Biden not being the moderate he claimed he was. Let it ride a little. Let the suck continue so that the independents have to embrace the suck

Desantis’ advantage over Trump is he will begin Day 1 with a complete cadre of assistants and a bullpen of nominees who will work for HIS agenda and not for the agenda of official DC

I hope this is the case. The bigger question is if it happens…. What will the Republicans do with it?!

The left certainly has a good number that are openly pulling them very hard to the left. It puts Pelosi in a place where she will have to work with them and the democrats in the not so safe seats that have to try and hide their far left desires. They simply won't be able to hide it and they'll be wiped out next year.

I agree. President Brandon is helping alot. We need more COVID mandates. Donald Trump should also get some credit for bringing hope to us Republicans. Governor DeSantis is showing us what real leadership is in his state.

This is the boomerang effect of beating people with the social justice mallet for the last few years. The more they pushed the worse the effect was going to be. We all know how hard they pushed and continue to still push their socialist race baiting trash....they left has no awareness. Even this slap in the face wont wake the left up. As much as we see them trying to fool everyone, they are most guilty of fooling themselves.

You sanctimoniously whine about action. You cuss Mitch

In your ignorance you ignore the fact that with out a 60 vote majority in the senate, nothing can be passed.

A conservative majority of 60 Senators is not likely in the immediate future
