I am looking for some information/advice about modern technology in the trucking industry, and I was hoping to find some Freepers out there who might be able to help me. I am particularly interested in on-board vehicle navigation systems and the types of information that can be reported through them for individual vehicles. What I am looking for is not for my own use within this industry, but is more of a general idea about the availability of data that trucking companies would collect for themselves. Instead of posting my request here I’ll send the details to anyone who is...

Palestinians Say Bush Is an Obstacle to Peace June 25, 2002 By Nidal al-Mughrabi GAZA (Reuters) - Ordinary Palestinians branded President Bush an obstacle to peace Tuesday, saying his Middle East policy speech would encourage Israel to go on occupying the West Bank and Gaza Strip. "It was a silly speech by a silly and weak president," said teacher Ahmed A'lesh. "It would have been better if Bush had shut up instead of inciting against (Palestinian President Yasser) Arafat and branding us with 'terrorism."' Bush, in the long-awaited speech Monday night, said the United States would support the creation of...

I am asking Freeper help and advice on this. There is a certain Sheriff Deputy in Atlanta who works as a side job at an abortion clinic. The last two weekends, he has arrested "little old ladies" for being on the sidewalk. Ginny was first, and now Louise. The City of Atlanta will not honor his arrest, and he must summons Sheriff Deputy cars to take his "notorious" "little old ladies" to jail. This smells of RICO and other things. Additional, the escorts for the abortion clients are supposedly involved in Witchcraft (one witch and one warlock, if my understanding...

I have a crazy question to ask which was prompted by my listening to today's Rush Limbaugh show. Does anyone have any large machinery that could dig ditches, faster than the firemen, around these forest fires? Rush brought up the point that large digging machines could make the areas fire-proof much faster, and a lot easier, than manually digging ditches. I had never considered that before. Is there a reason, other than possibly messing up the dirt in the forest, why some large construction company can't loan out their workers to get these fires under control? If it is possible...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The recent audio recording of al-Qaida's spokesman threatening new attacks against the United States appears to be legitimate, a U.S. official said Tuesday. Government analysts have matched the voice of Sulaiman Abu Ghaith to his voice from previous recordings, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. Officials will analyze the recording further before making a final determination, the official said. In the recording, Abu Ghaith says bin Laden and his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahri, are alive, and so is Taliban leader Mullah Omar. The message was released as an audio file on Islamic Web sites. A similar...

w w w . h a a r e t z d a i l y . c o m White House: Bush plan also requires that Israel take action WASHINGTON - The White House clarified Tuesday that President George Bush's plan for peace announced the previous day obligates Israel as well as the Palestinians to take action in order to reach peace. "We view this as parallel tracks going hand in hand, not as a sequencing sort of arrangement," said White House spokesman Ari Fleischer. With many in the Arab world calling Bush's speech on Monday tilted toward...

Let's imagine that Hizbollah's stated policy of "mega-terrorism" bears fruit, and a second Pi Glilot attack succeeds. Alertness and sharpened contingency plans mean that the blast and oil-fed fires kill fewer Israelis than expected, and "only" 2,500 die. Two weeks later, Hamas' new strategic direction bears fruit and they manage chemical attacks at several points in and around Tel Aviv. A couple thousand people are hospitalized, a couple hundred die. The total for both attacks is now 3,000 dead and 6,000 injured, many severely.
