A former associate of deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein is funding Democrat James Talarico’s run for the US Senate — to the tune of at least $11.5 million contributed to a super PAC backing the Texas candidate. LinkedIn cofounder Reid Hoffman gave the bulk of that sum in the form of a $10 million check cut to Lone Star Rising PAC this past June, months after after Talarico won a bad-tempered primary over Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings. Lone Star Rising spent nearly $4.5 million opposing Crockett ahead of the March primary — and is...

He’s supposed to give Texas Republicans a run for their money in the U.S. Senate race. Ken Paxton is supposed to lose, if you believe the polling. So, where the hell is Democrat James Talarico? He’s been missing for almost two weeks. No, it’s not an Unsolved Mysteries episode, but politically, he’s been MIA from the campaign trail in a race where Democrats can’t have their people running silent and deep. Is it because we learned earlier this month that Talarico is a Marxist? Where is this guy (via PJ Media): Talarico's last public sighting in Texas came on Saturday,...

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Pentagon says the firing squad execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan will be livestreamed after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the execution would be “public.” Hegseth, speaking to the conservative TV outlet Real America’s Voice News on Wednesday, said the execution of Hasan will take place at Fort Hood on Dec. 3. Hasan was convicted of killing 13 people and injuring 32 others in a shooting at the military base in 2009. “We’ll make sure that people are able to watch it, that it’s public,” Hegseth said.

After $118,000 in fines for allowing unvaccinated students to attend Amish schools, the plaintiffs are pursuing a case that could reshape how the courts protect religious exercise.New York state's Amish community has been facing heavy government fines for allowing students to attend Amish schools without proof of vaccination. Now the Amish are asking the Supreme Court to intervene. From 1966 to 2019, unvaccinated students were allowed to attend school in New York with a medical exemption issued by a physician, or if they "hold genuine and sincere religious beliefs" opposed to vaccination. But in 2018 and through 2019, a measles...

Philadelphia’s criminals clearly think they can get away with various felonies, as a sudden and shameless attack occurred right in broad daylight earlier this week on the city’s streets. As FOX 29 Philadelphia reported, the Philadelphia Police Department is searching for a man who was captured on video assaulting an unsuspecting stranger on Sunday morning at roughly 8:30 a.m. The police released a video showing the exact moment the individual in question committed the crime. The footage shows a Black man in a blue shirt marching toward a White man in blue jeans and a dark jacket at the intersection...

President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that roughly 70 million American children under the age of 18 are now automatically enrolled in “Trump Accounts,” expanding access to the federal government’s investment initiative aimed at building long-term wealth for the next generation. The completion of the larger auto-enrollment rollout is a significant shift from the program’s original setup, which relied on parents actively filing paperwork to register their children. The transition to automatic enrollment follows new Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service guidance designed to streamline access and maximize participation nationwide. Under previous rules, parents or legal guardians were required to...

[Note: This is the Abstract of an ACM study, which I broke up into paragraphs for readability.] AI assistants are increasingly framed as digital coworkers rather than tools. In immersive settings such as VR, AI embodiment design choices can become salient social signals that shape human–AI interaction. We investigate how such choices influence users’ perceptions of and behavior toward AI coworkers by employing three functionally identical AI assistants varying in human-likeness and gender presentation. In a controlled study, 189 knowledge workers completed work tasks with them, provided ratings, and allocated monetary rewards; we additionally interviewed 34 participants. Our results show...

Few things bring me more workday pleasure than an opportunity to mock The Lightbringer, the man whose very nomination caused the oceans to stop rising (or maybe stop receding), healed our racial divisions (except for those tricksy Jews and also white guys), and ushered in "a new way of being on the planet." Of course, it's even more pleasurable when I don't have to think about Barack Obama at all, but he was never one of those "absence makes the heart grow fonder" people, so I have to leap on those mocking opportunities whenever they present themselves. Today, for example,...

Fort Hood mass shooter Nidal Hasan’s execution by firing squad will be in public at Fort Hood, the base where he slaughtered 13 people in 2009, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth revealed Thursday. “We’re gonna make sure it’s going to make sure that people are able to watch it, that it’s public, because people need to understand that there’s serious consequences for these types of things,” Hegseth said when asked by Real America’s Voice about the fate of the former Army major, who has been on military death row since 2013. The defense chief said he believes it’s important Hasan...

U.S. — After a terrorist attack on the Mall of America was narrowly thwarted yesterday, experts warned that terrorist activity could spread beyond Minneapolis to the United States of America. With cells of ISIS supporters attempting violent attacks across Minnesota, security experts believe it is only a matter of time before the violence moves from Minnesota to U.S. soil. "If it can happen in Minnesota, it could even happen in America," said U.S. Attorney Dan Rosen. "That's what's so scary about it. These radical Islamic terrorists, they're right on America's doorstep now. The security of our northern border is every...

Employees at the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago are unionizing over their working conditions, claiming their benefits have been cut and workloads are increasing just four months after the center opened in June. Workers circulated a letter to staff Wednesday announcing their intent to unionize, complaining about “increasing” workloads “vague responses” from administrators to a list of complaints they’d raised, the Chicago Sun Times reported. Some of the complaints suggested that the $900 million presidential center could already be facing financial trouble. Such complaints have led to a “high turnover rate,” with exiting employees “taking with them their institutional knowledge...

Four astronauts returned to Earth Thursday morning, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Los Angeles after spending nearly eight months aboard the International Space Station. The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft carrying NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot and Russian cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev splashed down at 8:34 a.m. PDT, according to NASA. The landing marked the end of the Crew-12 mission, which began in February and included scientific research and four spacewalks aboard the orbiting laboratory. The crew launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on Feb. 13 aboard...

About 1 in 15 house cats may be carrying a common intestinal parasite that can also infect humans, according to a new study examining more than 157,000 cats across North America. Researchers found that 6.3% of cats tested positive for Giardia duodenalis, a microscopic parasite that causes an intestinal illness commonly known as “beaver fever.” Nearly one in five infected cats carried strains with the potential to spread to humans. The findings, published Wednesday in the peer-reviewed journal PLOS One, also revealed that kittens younger than 1 year old were significantly more likely to test positive than older cats. Researchers...

The number of Americans filing new claims for jobless benefits fell to 197,000 last week, the Labor Department said Thursday. This was 2,000 lower than the the previous week’s revised estimate and 3,000 below the consensus forecast. New claims for unemployment benefits are a proxy for layoffs. These have been near the lowest levels in 57 years for the past several week. The four-week moving average of claims, which smooths out weekly volatility, fell to 198,000. This average was hit twice in 2022. Prior to that, average claims have not been that low since 1969.

In what the Wall Street Journal's editorial page dubbed "the speech of the year," Secretary of State Marco Rubio laid out that President Trump's vision for America and the world is closely tied to the ideals of ancient Greece, which brought forth the great civilization of the West. It was extraordinary in its depth and projection. Imagine a Democrat -- or even Pope Leo --giving a speech like this, standing against the Acropolis itself in Greece, fiercely affirming that the Western civilization brought about by Greece is worth fighting for and dying for: [video at source] The buildup is slow...

Here’s to the virtue-signalling “Free Palestine” NPCs who pivoted in an eyeblink to “Don’t Free Iran” – may they choke on their hypocritical bile! And to the kefiyyeh-wearing street-blockers and their prayer-rug roadshow - let them drink Guinness through a straw! And not the Zero version! And to our gutless so-called leaders, who pee their pants at the thought of upsetting their jihadi imports - may the tail finally wag the dog straight off a cliff! Now sing it with me, boys… Oh you know where you can shove your Palestine? You can stick it where the sun don't shine!...
