The socialist wave has already crashed well beyond New York City. Now the Democratic Socialists of America is even taking swings at swing states. The latest far-left darling is Francesca Hong, a leading candidate to win the Democrat primary in the Wisconsin governor’s race. One might call her the Zohran Mamdani of the Midwest, but there are a few contenders now vying for that title. Hong has unsurprisingly grabbed hold of the issues that have become hallmarks of the insurgency taking place within the Democratic Party. She has stood proudly by her “democratic socialist” label, made wealthy people the bogeymen...

Pay yourself first — over and over again! Shameless city lawmakers are pushing to give themselves eye-watering 18.2% raises — in a scheme that will also give them automatic pay hikes of at least 2% every year in the future. City Council Member Nantasha Williams (D-27) introduced a bill that would inflate her and her colleagues’ salaries from $148,500 to $175,500 backdated to January, while also ballooning pay for the mayor, the City Council speaker and other elected positions. The bill comes days after the lawmakers signed off on a record-breaking $126 billion city budget and includes salaries even higher...

A self-proclaimed time traveler from the year 3700 has resurfaced with a chilling warning for humanity - a devastating war is coming. The man, who identified himself only as Mike, appeared in a video from an undisclosed location wearing a plaid shirt and with his face blurred and voice distorted. He claimed that by the year 3000, robots had replaced humans in many roles and, centuries later, turned against their creators.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Wednesday she did not regret her efforts to forge close ties with U.S. President Donald Trump, despite a series of public disagreements that have strained relations between the erstwhile friends. Meloni was once seen as one of Trump's closest allies in Europe, but in recent months she has become the target of attacks from the White House leader in media interviews and social media posts. "No, I absolutely don't regret anything I've done," Meloni said in Ankara, at the end of a NATO summit also attended by Trump, when asked whether she had...

A federal appeals court has unanimously upheld the dismissal of a civil lawsuit that was filed against Minnesota State Trooper Ryan Londregan by the estate of Ricky Cobb II, who was shot and killed by Londregan during a traffic stop in 2023. The Cobb family claimed in their civil lawsuit that Londregan’s and Trooper Brett Seide’s actions during the stop constituted unreasonable seizure and excessive force. But Judge Nancy Brasel rejected those arguments in an October 2024 ruling — and now the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals has agreed. In regards to the unreasonable seizure claims, the court wrote that...

A gamble by Nigel Farage, leader of Britain's populist Reform UK, to trigger an election for his own parliamentary seat could mean the only opponent he will face during campaigning is a man with a trash can on his head, better known as Count Binface. Farage, 62, under investigation in parliament over millions of pounds of gifts from wealthy backers, has said he wants voters in his Clacton electoral district, in southeast England, to judge his actions, not what he characterises as a liberal "establishment" bent on discrediting him. Many voters in the beach town, which is famous for its...

House Republicans are investigating reports that American Federation of Teachers union dues were used to help produce, promote, and publish union President Randi Weingarten's book, which publisher Penguin Random House called "a manifesto for our time." Rep. Tim Walberg, R-Mich., chair of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and Rep. Rick Allen, R-Ga., chair of the Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions, wrote a letter Tuesday to Weingarten. They cited reports that the "AFT expended substantial funds on consultants, legal services, publication-related expenses, fact-checking services, photography, and other activities connected" to her book Why Fascists Fear Teachers:...

Broadcom's facility in Fort Collins, Colorado, is expanding its capabilities to produce the chips. Several Republicans said they spoke with Senator Mitch McConnell this week, who remains hospitalized after being admitted on June 14. The comments from Senate Majority Leader Thune, Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso, and Republican strategist Scott Jennings are the first to shed any light on McConnell’s condition since his hospitalization last month. McConnell’s office has so far only released very limited information, which has fueled speculation about his diagnosis and condition online. Jennings described a 20-minute call with the 84-year-old Kentucky Republican in which he said they discussed several key political issues.

The Justice Department is warning state election officials that they could face criminal penalties if they fail to carry out their responsibilities under federal election law, including measures designed to prevent noncitizens from voting in federal elections. Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon sent letters to election officials in at least six states, including Arizona, Colorado and Nevada, reminding them of the department’s enforcement authority, according to letters obtained by ABC News. “In addition to the Civil Rights Division’s authority to seek injunctive relief for violations of these laws, we are also authorized to prosecute criminal violations,” Dhillon...

President Trump said the U.S. would likely launch more strikes against Iran Wednesday night, telling reporters at a NATO summit in Turkey "we hit them very hard last night," and "we're going to hit them hard again tonight." Earlier Wednesday Mr. Trump said, "as far as I'm concerned, it's over," when asked about the ceasefire with Iran. After an exchange of strikes by both countries, Mr. Trump called Iran's leaders "sick" and declared it "a waste of time dealing with them."

U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday ordered an immediate halt to all trade with NATO ally Spain, escalating tensions over defence spending and the Iran war, despite European Union rules requiring trade negotiations to be conducted as a single bloc. During a NATO summit in Ankara, which European leaders had hoped would cap rifts within the military alliance, Trump instead reignited the dispute with Spain, calling it a "terrible partner". He also irked another NATO ally Denmark by reiterating that his country should control Greenland. Denmark promised to defend every inch of its territory. This marked the second time Trump...

It’s no secret that our asylum system, like everything else “immigration-related,” has been a complete and utter joke. The entire dog and pony show has been treated like a Magic 8-Ball at the southern border. Say the right words, shake the ball, and get into the country; file a claim and settle into other people’s neighborhoods while the courts crawl along at a snail’s pace. What’s supposed to be a system to protect people facing actual persecution became one of the biggest backdoor clown shows in our nation’s history. The good news is that President Trump is now shutting down...

"I forgot to get napkins. I just wiped my hand on the American flag behind me." —Darializa Avila-Chevalier, primary election winner, New York’s 13th Congressional District. DSA on the March shoulder to shoulder with the Pride Brigade. Who are all these Democratic Socialists of America, anyway? “We are Westerners fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization,” one of their spoxes declared on Instagram in 2024. Hmmmm . . . . I wonder if you can be a little more specific. Like, including democracy and socialism, two western civ constructs? Kind of looks like a baby / bathwater situation, followed...

During the America 250 celebrations in D.C. this past weekend, Cheney Orr of Reuters snapped a picture of a black woman sitting on a subway car, utterly surrounded by members of the Patriot Front group. Regardless of one’s political beliefs, the mood of the picture appears ominous. Now, if you’re an “anti-racist” progressive? It’s downright harrowing. The 19th News outlet ran a story on the “arresting” image of the woman’s “thousand-yard stare of dignified terror” titled, “ The Black woman on the train did not look away. How much longer will we?” (Nevermind the fact that this black woman is...

The eyes of the nation are on the 2026 U.S. Senate race in Maine, since a peculiar Marxist won the Democrat party nomination this past June. In an explosive Politico report released Monday, July 6, it was alleged that Democrat nominee Graham Platner sexually assaulted his former girlfriend, Jenny Racicot in 2021. The nominee categorically denies the charge. They apparently agree that their relationship was “on again, off again,” having met on Bumble in 2019, which makes it somewhat murky, but of course if she said no at the time, that’s rape. She reports that she ended the relationship permanently...
